I'm for our strongest squad. I'm sick of losing against Dortmund  .

BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke thinks Bayern are light years ahead.

"Bayern are light-years ahead. We know full well that their industry leadership is firmly cemented in the coming years," said Watzke to news magazine Focus. "Money wise, we are worlds apart."

Bayern was "set up as good as any other club in the world. This is the outstanding lifetime achievements not only of Uli Hoeness, but also Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Karl Hopfner," said Watzke when asked whether the BVB could economically compete with Bayern "Are they kidding? Never!"

Maybe if van Buyten cannot make it yet, or will not be fit to start, then he'd play Badstuber instead for something like this:

Wayyy too defensive! Unless Jupp is aiming for a penalty shoot out or somthing

why dont we play the same we did against Real?!?!?

It's the same formation as against Real Madrid, with Rafinha instead of Alaba (and Lahm switched to LB) and Tymo instead of Gustavo.

Really :O ??

I think we played Kroos behind Gomez not 2 CMs and a CDM!

Plus Tymo instead of Gustavo and Rafinha instead of Alaba is a big difference

Why should we use Tymo and Rafinha(in a final match #-o )? when we can use Gustavo and Alaba?? they will not play the final and this will make Contento Tymo or DVB fresh for the CL final. This is not a practice match for the CL final, this is a must win so putting the best formation is what should be done.

Having the players fresh is no excuse, since this match is 7 days before the final.

Pros for playing with CL final team:
- Give players like Contento/Rafinha/DvB match practice
- Be able to observe what they are doing wrong to tweak the tactics around a bit
- Players would gel better in time for the CL final

Cons for playing with the CL final team:
- Weakened team => lower chance of winning
- Players who aren't rested are liable to get injured.

Personally I would rather we win the CL than 15 DFB Pokals in a row. I would be ready to sacrifice anything in order to improve our chances of winning the CL.

Winning the Pokal provides a few things:
- winning over our primary rival this season, while preventing them from picking up another trophy.
- That extra boost of confidence from beating a tough opponent who will push us all the way
- Dress rehearsal to make sure we are working well as a team
- keeping up form

there is a whole week, which is plenty considering we came off several weeks of 2 games a week -- so a full week is a lengthy time to fine tune things after the Pokal. If it comes down to trading, sure I would trade the Pokal for the Cl any day -- but no reason not to win both. We can at least claim a double (which would be more than Dortmund could say after winning the Pokal), and our targets would have been met and financial targets as well.

The only thing I fear is injury to anyone we absolutely need. Such as if Ribéry gets injured then it is a blow to the whole team, and confidence would drop. I would love to give Badstuber his last game, but I think Tymo needs time at CB, and so does DvB as well as other players. A tough decision on lineup and subs to be able to win the Pokal, give players playing time to keep form, yet prevent injury. I certainly hope that f*cking douche Subotić doesn't do any crazy tackles on our attacking players, or I seriously will hunt that guy down...

Though decision with the lineup indeed.

In my opinion, we shouldn't let the anger after losing 4 times to Dortmund make our decisions. Our top priority this season was obviously the CL, no wonder our performances in CL compared to the ones in Bundesliga. So, I think this is a golden opportunity to see what can we expect from Tymo and Rafinha/Contento playing in a final. While it's true we don't have any choice but to play them anyway on 19th, they will finally play a decisive match this season and Heynckes will probably be able to observe some small adjustments that will make us play better as a team.

The only downside I see is that the suspended players for the final are not playing, because they deserve to play one final this season, especially Gustavo. They will reach other Pokal finals though.

Second that. The Pokal is almost there for us to have every year whereas the CL is way more difficult. Plus, why wouldn't a team with a chance to defeat Chelsea be unable to defeat Dortmund? It is not like we are resting Robbery to avoid having them injured. We should give te CL formation a proper test, and if they cannot defeat Dortmund then I personally won't favor our chances against Chelsea.

Gustavo, Alaba and Badstuber deserve to play this match IMO

I'd go with the same formation than against Real Madrid:

-------------------Neuer------------------
Lahm----Boateng---Badstuber----Alaba
----Luiz Gustavo---Schweinsteiger----
Robben---------Kroos-------------Ribery
-----------------Gomez-------------------
I TRUST IN ARJEN ROBBEN
