For all i care, the match just showed the level at which german football is today. And let's face it, Dortmund are better then us currently. They started the season bad, with the horror CL run and all, but i think it's because they're all so young. Right now they are definitly amog top 5 teams in Europe, with two WC CBs, an attack that is already fanatsic, but will improve even more, since they're really young (Gotze, Reus, Lewa...) and a freaking genious coach. Bayern + Dortmund > Barca + Real.
Just beacouse the european press doesn't give them so much publicity, doesn't mean they're not a good team. They are much better the CHelsea and even ManU and MAnCity. Cheer up, it's not as humiliating if you take that we lost against one of the best teams around.

Do you think so? I think Di Matteo will have a headache after this game.

Dortmund are also a counter-attacking team but they are very different from Chelsea. They play like Real Madrid and the German NT, not anti-football. Di Matteo should know that it is harder to create a successful counter when you have to cross the entire pitch, because Chelsea only defend in their own area. If our DMs and defenders do not go forward more than they should, we shouldn't be as vulnerable against counter-attacks as were yesterday.

On the other hand they could choose to copy Dortmund, and actually try to play football. But in that case their already weakened defense is going to be much more exposed and unless our offensive players f*ck up, we should find it easier to win.

Most people will judge them only based on their CL performance. But I have to agree with this. They play what is imo the best style of football at present (like Real and Germany). Some of you know that one of the reasons I want Loew here is so that we start playing like this too.

Boys... What a bad night. TERRIBLE defending. Our team didn't show up at all.

Worst part about lastnight.... I was driving home from my uncles in the Frankfort area, and people were lighting fireworks outside to celebrate dortmunds win :(

I'm just watching the game from last night as I never got to see it. Just got no confidence against Dortmund. They had answers for everything.

Klopp has done amazing things with Dortmund.

(Rambling) Again and again I watch a failure against a counter attacking, pressing team. I think this match shows that Gomez can't do everything by himself at ST. Gomez haters have to understand that he is being marked out of the game by Hummels and Subotic. He needs to have a creative spark next to him to help. Getting a real bomb striker would bring attention away from Gomez and make it much more difficult for other teams to defend us. I thought Giroud would be great, but now I see that we need a world class player for those big games where Gomez can do nothing but watch. A bit off topic, but who could stop this slump that we could buy, or how could we fix it!!!

Only way is to buy more player or change coach or both. One guaranted combination is taking Klopp and buy Subotic, Gotze :(

This is literally what i have been sayin the whole time, Giroud is good but we gotta take the pressure off him he cant go 2 CBs against him all the time against the good teams he needs an Aguero type player behind him like Man City do who is versatile and keeps the CBs honest since they cant focus 100% on the lone CF they gotta watch for the striker behind him [-X [-X [-X [-X

Lisandro Lopez and Aguero's playing style is what we need in this supposed "bomb". Just IMHO

I think yesterday showed where we've fallen down domestically this season. We were predictable, and Dortmund know how to play against us.

We were inflexible, and it showed our unwillingness to change from our 4-2-3-1 formation. I feel, being able to stick Mueller up front alongside, or even Petersen or Olic would have changed the dynamic of our attack and given Gomez more space as he'd only have been marked by 1 of either Hummels or that dick Subotic.

I remember reading an article on goal.com last year with Mario Gomez saying Bayern have hard time coming back in games because of their rigid formation that doesnt allow a lot of flexibility and he is right....i dont think kroos should play the role behind Gomez he really cant take any pressure of him and muller this year has been sluggish and not really influenced the game like previous years we need a versatile striker like a Berbatov and Rossi to make our soccer flexible then i swear to you Our Super Mario will be scoring even more goals then he already is!!!
