A pleasant surprise the result and especially our defense which was much improved!
Martinez & Robben made one of their best performances tonigh in Bayern shirt.
Neuer & Muller were there when we need them,Hojberg as I predicted has a bright future as midfielder,an excellent performance for a rookie considering the opponent, the match prestige and the pressure,I'm more than pleased and I'm looking forward for at least 15caps next year.
Congratulations to Pep,despite the injuries he changed formations, the defense was solid and the fighting spirit was there again,as himself mentioned this year he made some mistakes but for this game he was brilliant again.

That is true. However, the referee did not call for an offside, did he?

No he did not..

Those tactics surprised, I was very sceptical when I saw us line-up with 3 in defence but Pep got it absolutely spot on. We managed to limit their counter-attacks, something that is a massive ask. Javi and Hojbjer were simply sensational, the stand-out players for me. Hojbjerg played with so much composure, you'd think he has been playing at the high level for years. The future is bright for the kid!

With just a bit of luck we could have played in 1/2 of CL and won the Pokal finale yesterday.

The goal we lost yesterday was also very unlucky and unnecessary.

I guess I should congratulate Bayern but its hard to do this time when I have this strong sense of injustice.

a good match completely ruined by one huge mistake of the ref. Difficult to get over.

Oh get off it, that whole incident came from a bullshit call on Hojbjerg when he had the audacity of getting kicked in the shins. The free kick should never have happened in the first place.

He was offside, but that and the subsequent uncalled goal are no longer relevant :pep:

On 65 minutes, Mats Hummels' header crossed the line only to be cleared by Bayern's Dante. It was fairly obvious to anyone watching the game on television, even before any replays, but the referee, Florian Meyer, wasn't watching the game that way.

It's a moment that will rankle Dortmund's players and fans, especially since there were also a few other decisions they can be unhappy about. There was, only seconds later, a scene in which Rafinha played the man and not the ball (at which he wasn't even looking) and knocked down Lukasz Piszczek in Bayern's box. Kroos was also very lucky to escape a second booking.

Yet Hummels' header was a crucial moment with a twist. In all likelihood, Hawk-Eye would have alerted the referee to the fact that the ball had crossed the line and he would have given a goal.

But what if we had had video replay? In that case, the referee (or the fourth official) would have had a look at the original TV coverage and then the slow-motion replay. In all likelihood, he would have come to the conclusion that, yes, the header crossed the line but that Hummels was offside when the cross came in. [source]

I think yesterday and the whole week was Dr. Müller-Wohlfahrt's busiest in his Bayern career. This game was like a survival course.

Oh please, you play vs Neuer without Tor-Technik, you play at your own risk. :P. Besides:

I think the general consensus was that the ref didn't register it as a goal because he thought Dante made a goal line clearance... however...

1) if a goal line technology is there, it would have registered that the ball *did* cross the line.
2) on a second look, apparently it seems that Hummels was borderline offside anyway.
3) but then again, the freekick shouldn't have been awared to BVB because it was a foul on PEH

So yes, it's a goal that the ref wrongfully called off, but at the same time it is technically the right thing to do (along the line of Poldi's goal from the non-existent corner last season). I think there wouldn't be this much uproar if the ref had called it off for an offside instead.

Glad someone still remembers, Boateng gets a lot of hate so its not surprising some people don't want to mention him in this win. :P
