This match is a week before the second leg vs Shakhtar so we'll have two midweek games after each other.

Eintracht Braunshweig are in a bit of a mess. They've played only 2 competitive matches so far this year, a 2-0 loss at home to Kaiserslautern followed by a 3-2 loss away to Bochum on Friday the 13th. They play again tonight (20.15 CET) at home to RB Leipzig and then away to Darmstadt 98 on Friday.

Almost took Leipzig down though. Red Bull not finding it easy at all in the 2. Liga.

Can't stop thinking about how ill-timed this fixture is, exactly a week before the 2nd leg of the Champions League. Who would it have hurt if it was played one week before (i.e. today) so our players wouldn't have such a congested schedule ahead of the all-important 2nd leg?

I know it clashes with some other clubs' CL matches, but the shift in date would have favoured Bayern's CL campaign. It seems that when the DFB/DFL come to scheduling, they couldn't care less about helping the CL participants. This sometimes happens between semifinal legs where other countries usually postpone the league match between the 1st and 2nd leg but not in Germany.

The format of the DFB pokal was made to help clubs who is participating in a international tournament. A knockout game, instead of 2 legs like other countries have, is very helpful. Also, despite the weather condition, the germans clubs have a winter break. This two factors are very helpful for Germany clubs that compete in Europe.

German clubs can't rest between the first and second legs of a semifinal, but they have a more comfortable season schedule. So I don't accept any excuse from them.
Super-Bayern! Super-Bayern! Hey! Hey!

Unfortunately, fixture changes to help teams in the CL are non-existent in Germany. Hopefully we'll wrap this game up quickly.

And i am happy there aren't. Because that's bullcrap.. Play the shedule you have and don't whine. Its even more sweet to beat a team that postponed a league match because of it :D

We only need an early goal followed by total domination with a good squad rotation without injuries...
And maybe more than 3 goals (Lewa,Tommy,Arjen)

This is a bit too experimental and I would be surprised if it happens.
