Same game, same thread, two very different contributions to the analysis of the loss. Don't you guys feel we oughta pay closer attention to some knee-jerk reactions in the forum? I mean, is there really anything funny in bowing out of the cup like this?

Anyhow thank you MiaSanFCB, that ESPN FC analysis pretty much says what I thought of the Madrid games and yesterday's outcome.

It supposed to be an easy win, we were far better but we somehow managed to suicide in front of our fans, unbelievable.
Lewandowski cost us the win-qualification tonight for the first time, he usually/always comeback from a miss chance, tonight he was miserable along with Robben's finishing. Ancelotti aka the sleeping beauty, subs at the 85' minute and he takes off Ribery who was playing fantastic, I'm tired of hhim in some matters, wake up buddy.

We're going to be very busy this summer, brace yourself MUTU

Mutu you need to revist the Arena, and offer a sacrifice to the gods to get rid of the curse you brought upon Bayern.

Was it in 2000?

Again. Madrid won the first leg and we won the second leg. Extra time just determines who qualifies after being tied in the aggregate score in regular time. If we didn't win, there would have been no extra time. So it is not 5 consecutive losses. Still sucks that we lost yesterday though.

To some extent I agree but let's not use this reasoning only when it suits us. If the game ends in the 90th minute, then we didn't have any record-breaking home win streak in the CL before we played Real

Exactly, we didn't. We had a 15 unbeatable match streak instead :P. I think the only team which ruined it for us was Juventus.

Yes, only Juve, but it's not 15 games. I think it was 9 games, Juve, then 6 games

I think we had a few off-days in the season, and this was one of them. The missed opportunities (1-on-1s) showed those...

Missed penalties some crucial times in the season, missed 1-on-1s... I guess sometimes you have just a bad season...

You do... But the missing learning curve, the lack of improvement in spite of great experience - that's not new...
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

Generally I would agree that the coach is to be blamed for an underwhelming season. Last night however it were Lewandowski and especially Robben that made me sick. Lewandowski tried to be too careful with his touches and Robben tried his best to waste any chances that came his way. Robben couldn't give a **** how much this meant to Lahm. What a **** prick. Look at the difference in attitudes.

I am crying atm...
The look in his eyes says it all...
I don't know if I will be able to watch his last game...
It is so sad and a strange feeling at the same time
