I have to applaud JH for that lineup. I wasn't expecting that many subs starting the game. He doesn't take that much risk usually.

It's great to see Javi Martinez tried out at CB. He'll have a monster game for sure. =D> Heynckes

A Trio of Shaq-Alaba-Robben sounds interesting, how did they do ?

Some positives.
-Great to have Rafinha, Tymo and Contento start. It gives them a chance to impress and get some minutes but it also gives Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Kroos and Dante a rest.
-Testing Martinez at CB was a good idea, now we have an idea of his performances there
-Starke showed us some skill with a great save in the first half, having someone like him as a back-up is reassuring
-It's great that Pizarro started, he lit up the Leverkusen game and he managed 2 goals today, he seems to combine well with Robben
-Shaqiri showed a lot of energy, but he often clings on to the ball too much, which he then ends up losing
-Robben bounced back greatly from injury, those two goals will surely boost his confidence
-Can showed us why he's held in high regards, an energetic, assured midfield performance
-It's great to see Weiser get his debut, he would have gotten an assist had Shaq not been offside
-I hope Rafinha's injury is not serious

Emre Can must play more often.

Alaba had a nice free kick on target in the first half. We need him back in the starting lineup because he makes our FKs more dangerous.

It is quite a lot to ask, but i saw someone link Dailymotion videos of our matches, it would be awsome if it could be done for this match. Getting DFB-Pokal is quite unlikely where i live, and Neo Sports ( the channel which covers bundesliga for the region here) has been showing badminton even on Bundesliga nights. So it would be quite appreciated by the unfortunate folk.

It was not flawless by any means, but it was a great performance especially considering it was his (I think) official debut for the senior team.

I can remember one instance where he beat the defence and attempted a shot which the keeper saved, when he could have easily passed vertically where there were 2 other players who would have had an empty net.

However, I hope he does get subbed in more often when we are winning and maybe also given an occasional chance as a starter. Unless we want to move Kroos or Alaba, he is probably the one most similar to Schweini.

Emre Can had played for the senior team as a LB at the start of the season before losing his place to Badstuber.

This was his debut in his preferred central position.

He did not impress me much though. He had an okay match in my opinion, nothing more nothing less.

Oh yeah you are right, but like you said it was his debut in midfield.

For those who asked for the game, I have highlights for now.

I was almost in J.H mind :) I only missed on 2 players Bad and Robben!

Very good game by our lads. Starke distinguished himself when he was called on. I've also liked Can's personality and Timo's passes and composure. Finally I've saw some action by one of my fav players Weiser. IMO him Alaba and Shaqiri are our future stars.
Well done.
