Honestly, we should see our position in the Budesliga and the Champions League first, then decide if we should play for the Cup or not. In general, our games against Leverkusen are exciting!! .. and I think this one is going to be so hard, since we will play away!
Confirmed Lahm and Toni are out. not a very good piece of news. I hope we play with the same formation we used against Bremen in the first half cuz i thought we looked very good both in attack and defense.
Thats bad, but I think Ze is very good at LB too! Sure he is better as CAM, but we can't afford to play him there with Lahm out. And that shows how much we need to buy sub for Lahm 4-5-1 with Rensing-Oddo,Lucio,Van Buyten,Ze- Altintop, MvB, Ribery, Borowski, Schweini-Klose!
4-5-1 is clearly the way to go with Toni out. My question is: do we rotate for this game? I'm all for winning the cup, but the players DID NOT look sharp on Sunday, and honestly a win against Hannover this weekend is more important. Although I guess we don't have too many options on the bench...still, I feel like Breno/Oddo and maybe even Sosa (yes he's still here)/Schweini wouldn't be bad changes to make. I'm sure that won't be the case, though. Will Donovan get to play against his former club? And will he actually score? Time is running out for him, if it hasn't already.
Or will Toni Kroos just straight-out punk our asses?
we were very lucky not to concede in the first 15 mins, after that we controlled the match without managing to have more than 1 or 2 shots on goal. I think Ribery looks isolated without Lahm, missing Lahm is totally neutralizing our left side.
