BTW, the Bundesliga has got the most coefficient points so far this season. :)

I've said this plenty of times, and I will say it again. The group is difficult depending on the strength of the 3rd best team in the group, which is the team most likely to spring a surprise and qualify at your expense.

In fact, last year's group was much easier for Milan. Barcelona were almost definitely qualified and they had to battle for the last remaining spot with an unexperienced BATE Borisov and Viktoria Plzen.

This season, it seems Malaga are top in their group, so they have to battle it out with Zenit and Anderlecht, arguably more difficult opponents than last year's.

Not to mention that Milan are weaker than last season. The strength of the group doesn't only depend on the names of the teams involved but also how close to each other they are in terms of quality. A group consisting of, say, Schalke, Valencia, Porto and BATE would in my eyes be harder than one containing Bayern, Man United, Lille and BATE.

Im dutch and i always watch the Bundesliga. Its far better then the dutch one. The TV on sky bundesliga is 10 x more amazing then everything we got. Its just like Germany is our older brother in terms of everything. imo Bayern and Barcelona are the best clubs of the world in this moment , with bayern as the best one IMO.

YEEAAA!!! I hate those Man U douche bags, hopefully the Bundesliga can overtake the EPL because there is a good chance only 2 english clubs will move to last 16 and 3 Buli clubs will

A few observations after the Group phase:

1) All 3 German teams topped their groups.
2) Schalke and Dortmund finished undefeated and they had EPL teams in their group.
3) Only Paris St. German had a better goal differential than Bayern.
4) Of the top 4 leagues in terms of qualifying teams for the next round they ranked as follows:

La Liga------------ 4 Teams
Bundesliga------- 3 Teams
EPL---------------- 2 Teams
Serie A------------ 2 teams

If German teams keep winning the Bundesliga could overtake the EPL by the end of the season

No they won't. They need to keep consistently winning over the next 3-4 years to do so. And that's with a couple of trophies in hand.

I checked Firefox's comments and he has a point. Although reaching the English coefficient this season is a bit far fetched, doing so next season based on this year's run (and keeping form next season) is quite possible.

I don't think Germany will grab 20.000 points this season even with 7 teams on contention. I could be surprised though if they do the EL and CL coup however. But the English still have 6 teams playing too. Even if they do poorly, they won't go bellow 15.000 - their worst 5 year spell.

If, and only if, Germany matches the best five year run record thus far (20.800), and England performs their worst (15.000), shall Germany jump to second place this very same season.

Bundesliga is the most underrated league of all. It can easily take any league, they just don't have the international experience. Just give it 2-3 years and you'll see what the German teams are capable of

From the recent UCL draw there is a good chance no English teams may not progress to the quarter finals and three German teams may move on to the quarter finals. Meaning that the Bundesliga may overtake the English Premiere League next season if not this season :D :D :D :D :D

Yeah the draw has certainly given us the chance to take a huge step towards overtaking the EPL.
