Just three days after FC Bayern host Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga, they will travel to Naples to play Diego Maradona's former club, SSC Napoli. Napoli are 2nd in the Champions League Group A, having drawn away to Manchester City and winning against Villarreal. FC Bayern, on the other hand, have won away to Villarreal and at home to Manchester City.

The toughest match behind the City away game, or maybe even tougher than that.

Basically, I'm hoping Jupp continues his surefire European awaygame strategy - getting a goal and killing the game. Should we win this game, we'd basically be qualified already.

Oh, right... I think it'll be a draw.

Let the real, REAL, test begin. Somehow I feel Napoli at home will be a tougher test than City in Munich. And yet their win over &#$&^@!!# (that would be Inter BTW) was nothing short of pure luck. That Pazzini disallowed goal was not really offside and Obi's penalty foul on Maggio was not even in the box to begin with.

Then Gomez's pal Julio César does a brilliant save only to have Campagnaro catch the rebound. Problem is Campagnaro was in the penalty area when the shot was taken in the first place. Obi and Ranieri ended up beign sent off and Julio César was lucky enough not to follow.

That pretty much set the mood for the rest of the game but given the circumstances, I would go as far as to say I thought the result would have been totally different should Napoli had not been allowed that undeserved penalty kick, or the illegal shot from the rebound.

This will be IMO the first real test of our team on foreign soil.

I've put this down as a draw.

Basically, after seeing the highlights of them play City away, they played on teh counter attack. I can see them playing like that at home, as Italian teams don't change their style too much.

However, I feel if they don't stretch our defence too much, I think, it could be a close 0-0, or 0-1 FCB.

Against Napoli you just need to have great Middlefield, who dont loose ball in middle.

Strong defence and compact midfield is the key of our success in forthcoming away game at Napoli. If our net continues to be untouched, we are in K.O. stage. ;)

Main threat will be Cavani, who plays in life form. From others, we can mention his partner Lavezzi and well-known Slovak Hamšik. We are full of confidence and atmosphere is excellent after Wiesn and international break.

I have no doubt at all in our chances to get a good result. :)

Since we are SO done with Hertha and this BL round, :) we can talk about our squad for Napoli. Tymoshchuk and van Buyten have played entire match today, Boateng was again on the right back, Ivica Olić has returned back on the field in 75th minute of the game.

Can we expect comeback of our Brasilians in the team, Rafinha on RB and Luiz Gustavo in midfield, or we gonna play with the same squad?

Unless some unfortunate event happens, I guess this will be our lineup against Napoli:

Neuer
Rafi - Boa - Bad - Lahm
Gustavo - Schweini
Mueller - Kroos - Ribery
Gomez

Time for overhaul!

Napoli is being so irregular. First they beat Inter & the San Siro and now they loose to Parma in Naples. Can anyone comment on the game?

I think after Tymo's performance vs Hertha (Which was his best since 2 seasons ago vs Juventus in group) he might get the spot ahead of Gustavo. He almost matched Schweinsteiger in both defense and attack today.

Hamsik, Levazzi and Cavani all played the full 90 minutes with no subs. So lets make them chase the ball a bit around the field and see how tired their legs really are.
