@ramsej84
But we are a suicidal team, don't we? :P

Jonas is out, they are missing their best player by far, I don't think that's such an insane formation to be honest, after all we will have the same absences like the first leg, how much do you think that Pep will change the team? Well the best way to break a park the bus defense is with overlaps, overload a wing playing a 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 we have the players(the best) for this particular formations but it's not like Guardiola is favoring these tactics, he prefers to have an extra player in midfield and control the game overloading the midfield, playing with 3 man backline and having wingers as No.10 in the very last games.

I suppose @ramsej84 that you are in favor of Heynckes style Bayern for the 2nd leg at Benfica right? Like,
Neuer/ Lahm,Martinez,Kimmich,Alaba/ Vidal,Thiago/ Ribery,Muller,Costa/ Lewandowski ?

Well that's not going to happen if Pep doesn't have a high fever I suppose :P

ah yeah we are... tell me... I can't remember on how many occasions FCB were going to be my killers...
The history stretches from circa the year 99 till last Tue...
The most severe being last game vs Juve , some games vs Real Madrid and Manchester UTD of course ... and the 2012....

Is Luisao going to be back for Benfica?

From your formation I didn't like the three wingers...
Yes I prefer Martinez in midfield along with Vidal and Thiago...with the latter taking a more advance role... However this means that Mueller will be on the wing ... unless we play 3-3-3-1 (the only thing that I liked from Pep's legacy)

Secondly some players of ours seem to be in a bad shape physically, after the NT break many of them are in a bad condition, especially Lewa & Muller in the last games after 60-65' are off which is very normal since they play week in week out full 90' this season plus their NT.

Now, I'm pretty sure that Pep & the players will go out at full force in the return leg, seeking that away goal that seals our ticket to the semis, even if concede one it won't be a catastrophe,we can handle. I'm expecting a heavy rotation against Stuttgart if that happens then I think that I will be confirmed about the games against Benfica.

Since Guardiola likes the 3-man defense and looks like a huge fan of 3 wingers behind the strikers,I'd like to see this

I am sorry that formation is suicidal in my op.

Better? :?

Lol that's basically the same formation. Lahm moves 10 paces back and ten paces right and suddenly it's not suicidal.

It gives an indication...

I think Coman should be allowed to start this at the expense of Costa, i.e.
----- Lewandowski -----
Ribéry - Müller - Coman

I think we can only decide who the wingers should after we see how they play vs Stuttgart.

Since we've already got the result we needed think we need to stay conservative and just make sure not to concede. If we set up like this we should still have enough about us to score two or three but we'll be defensively solid. Martinez can move in to the midfield and allow Robben to bomb forward in to a second striker position when on the ball. Lewa and Gotze great options from the bench if we're in trouble and need a goal.

Nah, let's play like this:

Don't worry about the rest, we're FCB after all.

"Pep, why does Bayern not score as many goals anymore?"
"I don't know, but the most important thing is that what happened against Juventus didn't happen against Benfica. In a home game, we don't want that, that would've been dangerous. Sometimes you control it a bit more, that's what I wanted. The game there will be completely different."

As if you didn't already turn into a laughing stock. You don't even know that Boateng and Robben are still out for weeks
