Like a side note. What is going on with alaba's crosses? Carvajal is a top RB, but he had at least 5-7 chances to deliver dangerous crosses and he sent them nowhere .

I go back and forth on the Bayern performance question. On the one hand, the score was tied over two legs when it was 11v11... on the other hand, BAyern could really only muster a penalty and own goal in the 2nd leg. I do think that Bayern would have gone through without the red cards, but I also thought Madrid created a lot more opportunities.

An incompetent referee does not take bad decisions that damage a particular team the whole match.

Wrong. What did he do wrong in 2013?

What I remember is him giving a questionable penalty (as questionable as the one in the first leg, at any rate) to none other than Real Madrid in 2012.

1-0 Müller - Dante was pretty rough in that aerial duel

2-0 Gomez offside

3-0 Robben: In NO way was that a legal no-ball-in-sight-tackle by Müller

Juve at home?
Atletico at home?
Barca at home?

Come on, you can't deny we had fight and determination in those games even though we failed in two of them.

None of these games was like that - not saying that we didn't want to win... But we never displayed that kind of urge and willpower for full 90...

Repeat it 500 more times without bringing an actual argument to the table, and there might be a few more who believe you...
Would still be wrong, but whatever, huh?
Did you even read my posts? Of course, someone who wants to believe in conspiracies and shit cannot be reasoned with because that would require fir him to stop and think about these arguments for a pinch of a second...

Next guy who's dismissing valid arguments with ad hominem posts... When someone already mentioned here that Kasai also made mistakes in favor of Barca just one game before...
Seriously I feel weird conducting a discussion for an elementary schoolyard...
Again... Someone who wants to believe in something at all costs is probably not receptive to arguments against it, so I'll stop bothering, go nuts!

So Heynckes wasn't THAT much better than Pep after all! He just had Kassai's help.

(If it wasn't obvious, just kidding, couldn't resist)

I don't remember and will need to look up highlights tomorrow but surely there would have been outrage after the game if 3 of our 4 goals shouldn't have been allowed. I don't remember that happening at all.

taking both the home match and the way one into consideration i blame our disqualification first on Carlo, Vidal , and then on the referee !!! and mostly  on Carlo ; first because he chose Vidal to shoot the penalty and secondly because he didn't sub him after his jerk tackles ( before being sent off) !!!

Müller, in basketball terminology, set a pick. He stood his ground and the defender ran into him. Nothing wrong with that, but the Barca fans were livid. Fact is, he's one of the few players smart enough to think of doing something like that.

Yes, please do! I did not rewatch, these were from my recollection... I even think there was one in the fourth goal as well, but I don't remember what it was...
It's not like we stole this - well deserved - victory, but you could definitely debate all those goals... Dante definitely pushed tge defender down...

@RB:

Oh please, in what rule book is that a legit goal?
Seriously, if we're gonna argue about THIS, I'm out cause a blind guy living behind the moon can see that...

Neuer
Lahm Boateng Hummels Alaba
Thiago Vidal
Robben Muller Ribery
Lewandowski

Subs: Kimmich, Costa/Xabi and Coman.

If we had played this team against Real Madrid in both legs we would have had a very good chance of qualifying. But it's all a case of should have, would have, could have now. Hopefully Bayern gets another chance to redeem themselves against Real Madrid next season, ideally in the Semi Finals!

Hopefully RM, Barca, and Atleti all fail to make it out of the group stages. A guy can dream, right?
