I remember that we were worrying about Juventus' strong midfield, but later it happened completely the opposite. Our midfield with Bastian and Martínez in command have eaten them all, as well as Mandžo who pressed and disturbed Pirlo so bad. Nothing did last after our team, a real pressing machine. That was our Bayern back then... :|

Juve are a very different team now as well. Their midfield is not what it used to be.

Still despite the team looking very different than it did a few months ago, we must not forget that we're playing against last year's finalists. It's probably the worst draw we could have gotten but it's also very doable. I'm confident.

Because it is generally considered as an advantage if you get to play away first. Score an away goal and you have a huge advantage for the second leg at home. You can really set the tone for the rest of the tie, when you play at home first it's possible you already lose it.
It's just a small thing but it could be huge.

I tend to think playing at home first is more of an advantage against Italian/other park the bus teams.

I'm reading an old ZM article about our games v Juve - it's funny how everyone, especially the well-known Kroos fanboy Michael Cox, predicted Kroos to be a huge miss against Barca.

I look at it the other way have a lead from the home game to defend in the second leg for me having the home game first is better

Honestly I think it varies from tie to tie. For example, my father (who is a Juventus fan) typically prefers to play at home first, but would rather start away vs Bayern. It's just that there's always this nagging feeling that no matter what result you get at home against Bayern, we can overturn it at home.

I prefer to turn things around at home since we're a force in the allianz arena.
Worked against Porto and Shakhtar and if Ter Stegen didn't decide to be superman and our defenders would've defended properly we would've had a chance against Barca too.

Well, you all wanted a big player - you got it... I just hope this doesn't backfire - come MArch chanes are we might be able to focus on BuLi... :?

Well, that's generally wrong... When it comes to semifinals - where you can assume teams are equally strong (wheres in the round of 16 group winners meet runner-ups...) - about 75% of all finalists play their first game at home... It's easier if you know exactly which away result will get you through... Especially for teams like Juventus...

Thing is if you even need to "turn things around" against Shaktar and even Porto, something went wrong in the first place... ;)

Ramsej and Jancker are like two little kids who think it's cool to give your competition funny little nicknames.

Hey, mocking Juve is funny even in Italy. Apparently, they have a saying which goes "Meglio secondi che ladri" referring to them. XD

They looked very soft and got pretty lucky vs Man City, i expect a decisive away leg by Bayern to put this to bed early like last time...

I am looking for two wins, beating them in their own stadium. I know this encounter will be tough but Bayern is a team that can win everywhere if they play at their best.
