I only compared the look and not the intentions. I meant what was he thinking by chopping his vest to play with short sleeves in that temperature, he was the only one, not even the home team players dared playing short sleeves !

AdepT wrote:Also, Arsene stated that whole team has to wear the same jersey for Arsenal. And Flamini said he feels comfortable in half-sleeves. So Flaimini used his scissors

Actually they have to wear whatever the captain decides to wear.

Well, I posted to explain the difference.

As for why would he cut it down, I guess being the best defensive mid, he ought to be pretty warm-blooded.
Must have been warmed to take care of himself during half-time, so he changed it.

This topic reminds me of Beckham playing the World Cup 2006 in long sleeves while complaining that it's too hot to be playing football.

I'm very proud, especially because we secured those victories in such a dominant fashion – ten consecutive victories in Europe is something very special. It wasn't an easy game today, but the team showed a great reaction on the pitch. This game showed what great character this team have. There are no excuses at a club like Bayern – you always have to play well.

It's fair to say that the group stage has finished for us now. It was a good game and we won despite the difficult weather conditions. We kept possession really well and that was certainly pleasing. This is a great result for us; I'm a happy man.

It's normal in European football that the initiative is constantly changing between the two sides. CSKA are a very good team and they managed to create a number of good chances in the second half. I am really pleased for Mario Götze and really happy with his performance. He has found his position in our team and I am very happy for him. [source]

Oh dear! He isn't "really, really pleased" and only "very happy for him". Back to the bench then, I guess.

Ok, thats the end of my rage. :P

So basically you are saying BATE is better than Dortmund and you purposely neglected the game vs Lille?

BTW I'd like to see Ribery, Robben, Kroos, Thiago and Götze playing together. with Javi as CM and Lahm as RB. =P~

I wouldn't say this game was a piece of cake. If CSKA would've scored with the chances they had it would've been closer. Not like they would've won but it's not like Bayern dominated either they just finished better. Gotze goal has to be one of the best scored this year. Made it look easy.

Well I think your comment is a bit short sighted. Bayern under Heynckes had pretty poor games and either lost (Arsenal return leg, BATE away) or came on top (Lille); just to name a few CL games top of my mind. So comparing second year Heynckes' (or is it third?) vs first 4 months-Guardiola is a bit premature to say the least. I can see why you don't wish to elaborate.

Speaking of Götze's goal. Did you guys see how the ball was constantly bouncing while Götze was running and dribbling? That shows how skilled he is. That goal looks easy, but it's almost imposible to do that in that icy pitch. =D>

It doesn't look easy at all, even in normal conditions. He makes it look easy though. :D
