[2012-03-16] Champions/Europa League draws

Postby sch0ll7 » Wed Mar 14, 2012 6:14 am

Venue: Nyon, Switzerland
Draw starts:

I am hoping for Apoel, Napoli, Benfica and Marseille...and maybe Milan could be doable.

Just please avoid Barca and RM...I would like to see those two kill eachother in QF:)

I'd rather take Milan than Napoli. Milan is a hella good team this season, but their play style is a lot more old school and we can handle that better than Napoli's 3-4-3.
The ideal team

Napoli were lucky to not lose by 3 or 4 goals at AA...we can handle them believe me.

Milan has tradition and will....they are the worst enemy in CL...I rather get RM than Milan:)

As long as we go through anyway, I want Milan and end that negative streak.

Of course the best case scenario (after the group of death) would be to win the CL after elminating MIlan and the 2 Spanish teams in the remaining games :)

The worst thing about the final in AA is that if we win it haters will always say we won it as we had home advantage.

It would be much better if we beat Barcelona in the final at the Nou Camp

Honestly I prefer avoiding any Italian teams... Both teams are very capable on breaks, which makes me really worried this season...

I want APOEL guys...

I don't think I'll give a flying duck about what anyone has to say should we win the CL.

I dislike Italian teams. Especially Napoli. They tend to break our players. We've had enough of that this season.

I'm hoping for Marseille.

My favorite draw:

1st leg of the final:
-------- (Real vs. Milan) vs. (Barca vs. Napoli)
2nd leg of the final:
-------- (Bayern vs. APOEL) vs. (Marseille vs. Benfica)

And I want us to avoid any Spanish/Italian referees in the semis...

Next draw:

16 March at 12.00CET, Nyon

Quarter-final draw (27/28 March & 3/4 April)

Semi-final draw (26/27 April & 3/4 May)

Final (20.45CET, 19 May, Fußball Arena München)

"The pairings from the quarter-finals onwards will be determined by an open draw in which no teams are seeded and clubs from the same national association could be drawn against each other. The side drawn first will play the first leg at home. The last-four fixtures are also determined while an additional draw will define whether the winner of semi-final 1 or the winner of semi-final 2 will be considered, for administrative purposes, the home side in the final."

http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague ... index.html

IMO this is the most critical stage of the way to the final, because it will be decided the way the last 8 teams face each other until the final.

I really hope that we avoid Barca and Real until the final.

My predictions if Napoli and Real Go through tonight
Then
Napoli will face Apoel
and the other six teams are Marseille - Benfica - Milan - Barca - Real - Bayern

Barca will be in one half of the draw and Real will be in the other

Milan will face either Marseille or Benfica (more probable)

then remains
Barca - Real - Bayern - Marseille

:-k

We Will face one of the three , for me the most probable is Real

It would be great if we would get Apoel of course, but if not, then Benfica or Marseille :)

We will see in friday what will be.

I would like to see Marseille, APOEL, Benfica and even Milan. Also I don't have anything against replay with Napoli. Just not to get Real or Barcelona in 1/4 finals. That I would leave for semi-final or final. :)

Either way we will need to defeat those 2 spanish teams if we want to lift a trophy.

I rather see us losing to them in quarter finals....than to drive back home crying after I watch us losing at AA to Barca:)

But again...maybe it is easier to win against those two in only 1 match [at AA] than it is over 2 legs.
