Not even close. Wembley, Bernabeu, Stamford Bridge, Olympiastadion it's the same shit. Munich would have been unique, once in a life time opportunity you know.

What is wrong with you people? Bayern wins in London, and it is RAPE TIME IN PRAGUE! August 30th.

Funny enough it will be Guardiola's first real cup for contention; and vs Mourinho LOL.

MOONRIDER wrote:all the above show how relative everything is about football.true? this is not basketball.

The point was, it could have been the other way around easily.thus ,reaching conclusions as many do, based on last months results
,about the greater status quo in football today and its direction in the future, is at least unfortunate.i thought my post was clear enough.
please read it again..its tiring to explain myself with more posts on a same subject.

a similar link:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013 ... ague-spiel

of course that's all that counts in terms of results.that was not the topic.

but ,put yourself in malagas shoes.a rule was broken ,unfairly,at the very last moment..is wining at ANY cost with ANY means necessary so important ? would you accept a bayern win OR defeat,in this fashion?
What about the sporting spirit? What about the rules? Are they meant to be broken in our favor ?
if bayern wins in likewise manner tomorrow ...no thanks, not for me. :)

a side note:
millions of English fans watching on TV can at least enjoy one game in which a penalty shootout involving German footballers
will not lead to terrible Anglo angst

And what's your point? Malaga could have easily won, United could have won if it weren't for Nani's red card, we could have won in 1999, let's get back hundreds or thousands of years and maybe Football would not have been invented at all. So what? It is what it is, you can't change what already happened. Or do you want to talk about different scenarios that could have happened?

I would accept a Bayern win in CL in any fashion. Sure I'd be a little annoyed that we didn't dominate the match and were very lucky or friends that would tease me afterwards but I could care less if we win the trophy, that's what being a fan is. You are the first person I hear something like this from.
A defeat in such a fashion it's hard to swallow but you have to move on (I'm still not there). After that defeat I was thinking to stop watching football just so I'll be sure no to feel such pain ever again but then you know, the CL group stages started and I got hooked again :).

This is why CL is such a loved competition. All this unpredictability, drama, pride, luck packed into one package.

They were both in the same game, weren't they?

financially stable, doesnt bring you any trophys as far as i know.
teams abilities are reflected at those co-efficient rankings.
most wins ,higher up a team/ nation goes.

about that ´´ currently better ´´ thing, thats relative , and interests me the least,i want my team to have a duration
through the years which bayern has.otherwise i could support ...Nottingham Forest..
what would have happened if arsenal or madrid had score one more? Or that offside goal against malaga?
or that ref decisions against barca in the first game? we would have an all spanish semi and final.
of course bayern was better at this particular period of time for many reasons
and deserve both titles this year.(we will see about the cup)
and im happy for both german teams but im not blind.

So everything is relative and the football scope is bigger than that.
we just can not judge teams dynamics and footballs future based on monthly results.
there is a bigger picture.
there is a trend going on about the germans and imo is based on that everybody was tired about
tha spanish dominance last years and were ready to jump on any bandwagon .it was a german one.

one last point .im positive ,what bayern did against barca is going to be emulated from every team around europe
that will confront them next year and i dont think that barca can bounce back to their former dominance .they were found out
and it took a long time but it happened eventually.thats bayerns biggest achievement this year besides win the CL.

If FFP doesn't fail being financially stable is huge in the future for winning trophies and yes theres plenty of what ifs but in everyone of those what ifs munich dominated the games and that's why there ahead even if they lose this team has left a legacy of records this season and I think its worth living in the present at least until tomorrows game at Wembley is done and dusted then worry about a plan of action

Anybody know where to meet most Bayern fans after we won this thing tomorrow in London? There is nothing organised and I want to party all night on the streets if the police lets us!
Maybe Trafalgar Square (but not a lot of bars around) or Leicester Square?

FFP will fail. It will keep clubs in check for the first ten years, and then salaries and transfer fees will go through the roof with Chelski and Man City earning profits.

It will largely be a Bayern-dominated FFP era. We can look forward to that. And we can start this era right now.
Emre CAN do it.

FFP wont stop big clubs for spending big but it will prevent foreign owners from making huge cash injections....
