Nah, Boateng's yellow card was justified. He tackled Lavezzi. Didn't even touch the ball. I also thought he cleared the ball but from the replay it is clear that was not the case.

Feels great for Gomez hattrick and the victory but, I'm still mad of Schweini's injury. They almost injured Ribery too.

Also IMO Boateng is a pretty fast defender.... But I think JH used DvB and not Rafinha because he was wary of Napoli's header threats.... Given the way we conceded the goals seems it was a reasonable decision... but unfortunately didn't pay off!

Goal.com ratings

http://www.goal.com/en/match/65912/baye ... er-ratings

Badstuber: Was booked for a bad foul on Maggio early on, but improved immensely as the game progressed. Marked Cavani out of the match but the Uruguayan still won the battle, earning him a second yellow card and an early bath with a shameful dive.

Cavani: Was marked out of the game by Badstuber, but managed to get the defender sent off with a devious dive in the last few minutes. Hardly touched the ball in what was a disappointing performance by the Uruguayan.

BTW, Lahm had a wonderful match, especially near the end when he carried the team on his shoulders, unlucky not to score a late goal and rushing back to defend a decent Napoli chance seconds later. He was a true leader today.

Ive got to say the Goal.com ratings for Badstuber and Cavani go some way towards validating everyones frustration about that dive. Shameful!

It's a good thing we have friendlies coming up .... I wouldn't want Basti to miss many Bayern games.... but it seems he will definitely miss the game against Dortmund and probably City :(

He is fast. And he got the ball first. It was never a foul, and the referee was not right to book him as well.

come on !! he didn't touch the ball at all and lavezzi was faster than him on that ball .moreover( and worse ) even if boateng had let lavezzi got that ball it wasn't causing any threat for Neuer ! same thing with badstuber : if he let cavanni got that ball it wasn't a dangerous chance for napoli but .........!! maybe with the experience they will both improve otherwise ........... #-o

one more ( last) point : tymo doesn't have a place in Bayern !! [-X . he can't provide an addition to the team specially in decisive / crucial games !! next days will prove it !!

Here is my take on today's match:

Complete domination for 40 minutes to start the match.
Napoli's first goal was due to a mistake by Boateng.
Napoli is one of the dirtiest teams I have ever seen seen.
Napoli's second goal was due to POS diving and poor officIating on the POS dive, causing a fake yellow card.
We let up at the end of the first half and at the end of the second half, both goals could have been avoided otherwise.
Napoli is one of the dirtiest teams I have ever seen.
I would rather see City than Napoli go through to knock out stage.
Our defense is great.
LAHM IS A GREAT CAPTAIN.
Put Kroos in Schweini's slot until he returns.
Put Meuller back in behind Gomez.
Play one of the youngsters (Alaba?) at right wing until Robben returns.
Did I say, Napoli is one of the dirtiest teams I have ever seen?

Well , i just watched the match again.

I have to say that Fernandez headers were amazing, a 3:2 doesnt say how much we dominate them.
