Neuer - Lahm, Boateng, Hummels, Alaba- Alonso, Vidal - Robben, Thiago, Ribery - Lewy

If that's the team we gotta chance. Not saying it's realistic, I'm worried we won't get a fit Hummels or Lewy back, especially after hearing that Lewy's shoulder was worse than feared.

Regardless, it's a goal down and this team CAN do it. They play better than Real, I believe 100% that we have more talent. But the difference is mentality, when the chips our down Real don't crumble even when they are playing worse. Our boys need to take their chances, not continuously fluff them away! Regardless of the justification of the penalty, Bayern had their boot on Real's throat and we took it OFF. The reversal, the red card, and the 2-1 result is the outcome of complacency. Year after year we have the control and we throw it away, last year Müller botched his penalty and this year it's Vidal. It's not over, but this team needs to learn how to keep the boot pressed down hard.

A last thing: I don't care too much what negative kids in this forum say. But I will say I guess it does get to me, because I find it hilarious that some kids who found Bayern yesterday and can't properly spell the names of our board but know enough about what's going on at this club? "Rumenige" is to blame for no back up striker, it's not a problem that Gomez and Mandzukic didn't want to be backups, Reschke can do no wrong even if he can't find anyone other than an intelligent Müller who yesterday sank to the footballing technique of André Hahn to back Lewy up. That is NOT on Xabi Alonso, Müller shouldn't only be capable when defenders are looking the other way. At other clubs their backup strikers occasionally plays the role, not for the first time against Real Madrid. Müller should have enough ability to do SOMETHING up front. That he couldn't is partially on himself and mostly on Carlo Ancelotti.

Was Martinez's red card, Bayern's first one of the season?

I'm seeing same posts as if Ramos' last header wasn't offside and we lost 3-1.

It's 2-1 guys. We don't need a BARCA.PSG to pull it off. I know Madrid are closer but for **** 's sake...

He was offside by a mile. There were many chances for them to make it 3-1, but that certainly wasn't one of them.

I think yes, but what I hate is that everything was first time this season, first red card, first lost at home, lost possession, lost in number of touches, everything was first time exactly against real madrid.

It isnt impossible, hope bayern can be themselves in santiago bernabeu and turn the match with their rythm, but my fear is how they could beat real madrid at their home, when they feel comfortable and playing like if they were in their garden in all the second half in munich.. #-o

Yeap. Benzema and Cristiano had really good chances to make it 3-1 yesterday... Think Benz had 2 very good chances that were missed and Cristiano had another 2-3.

Kalle said today that Lewa will 100% be fit for the second leg. We definitely still have a great chance. If we score the first goal on them they will be rattled and the momentum will be on our side. Lets also not forget what happened the last time Lewy was rested for 2 games last season with that minor problem against Olympiacos. He dropped 5 in 9 minutes against Wolfsburg when he was fully fresh and we already know he is the Madrid killer.

Why do we have to be lucky for an assistant to make the correct offside call? That is the dumbest shit, and I **** hate that, when pundits act as if our defending is only lucky when our defenders were actually spot on and PUT the enemy OFFSIDE.

Because was not an easy call I already said that. And the defenders didnt put Ramos offside he was coming from an offside position. Was a close call. Dont act like you didnt see this type of error at assistents

I'm not saying what you are saying is dumb. I'm expressing my frustration at the fact that even if an assistant makes the correct call 90% of the time, that other 10% can seriously **** us even if the defense was perfect.

And more than that, in the Dortmund game, even the British pundit watching the REPLAY couldn't see that Mbappe was offside by a mile, and even after halftime he could barely admit he was wrong.

Yeap. Imagine a third goal from an offside position. That could complete a totally nightmare game...

What I am saying is, multiple things are going wrong in the world, and I am choosing to exercise my upper class privilege to direct my anger towards "expert" pundits and their artistic interpretations of the offsides rule.

Because in England, real defending is "letting your man know you're there" by breaking his leg. Not by reading the rules.

I used to leave for some time in England and everytime a team from there lost the game in CL they tried to say its someone else fault. Blame the reffere and so on.

It was evident in this game that we had prepared corners with Vidal...
