He IS... Because that "footballing genius" of aLonso is in no way worth the risk he puts on our defense... Alonso has had a few good games... But you'Re acting like he reinvented the DM... He's solid, nothing more... If Javi had their back, on the other hand, our OMs could shine even more...

He'S definitely way better than the second half of last season... Still I think he's the weakest link...

indeed... but i will only feel comfortable with him in the starting line up against the teams positioned 5th and lower in the Buli table...

I'd even take Kimmich ahead of Martínez at CM. Martínez can do what he does best at CB or DM, doesn't really matter as long as someone is taking his position when he's moving forward like against Schalke. Win headers, shine with his amazing positioning, build up play and carry the ball forward.

Ramsey sounds like someone who completely forgot that Alonso probably was the best player in both games against Barca.

No need to make distinctions between CM and DM. We know we have 2 spots open in midfield (to accommodate Lewy, Müller, Costa and Robben) so the question is: who should partner Thiago in midfield? I find surprising that you don't think Javi should be the one, I clearly remember that you used to praise him and say he is *not* a purely defensive midfielder.

My preferred formation would be a free-flowing 4231 (with Javi, Alaba and Müller free to wander into midfield on posession) with Vidal alongside Thiago and Javi in defense.

What do you want now ? Javi in defense or Javi in midfield ? :?

Neuer, Alaba, Martinez, Boateng, Lahm, Vidal, Thiago, Robben, Costa, Müller and Lewandowski would probably be my favourite line-up aswell, but for some reason we seemed to have pulled off some ofthe best performances this season with Alonso on the pitch and Vidal on the bench..
Just saying.

Just think we have better suiting midfielders while Javi is our 2nd 3rd best CB.

It surprise me how much offense many fans want in Bayern. In order to beat any opponent in Europe, we need balance. This is what Heynckes achieve with Bayern in the beginning of 2013 and later obtain the success.

If Pep fills all the midfield with players that have more offensive projections than defensive, can be very damage in the counter against other strong offensive team like Barcelona or Real Madrid.

We need balance and that’s why I want Javi as defensive midfielder, helping Benatia (CB) and Boateng (CB) in the defensive tasks. Right now, Pep abuse of Xabi Alonso, but with Javi back, I want to see him in the midfield again.
Super-Bayern! Super-Bayern! Hey! Hey!

Well, then I must've forgotten too... Because I remember him mostly for his crucial role in boh goals conceded in Munich... And I don't remember anything good from him besides tactical fouling and running after opponents he wouldn't catch if they were running backwards... ;)
