Me too. Putting Mandzukic in later on would be ok if we're struggling, but Gomez must get his chance. His physical presence and experience will help a lot. Gomez is the only Bayern player who is always good for a goal. Even if he is invisible all match long there is always a chance that he has that one minute of brilliance which makes the difference.

That said I still think Mandzukic is better for the team as a whole, so if Bayern are struggling Heynckes must not wait too long to put him in. Especially if Juve line up with a 3 man defence his movement should help us a lot.

This is a whole point. BINGO my friend! =D>

As against of the opinion by most people my first thought and feeling about the game is that Juve will suffer a lot. You have to consider that Juves “newest” history since scandals isn´t impressive in international terms. When they played CL the last years they couldn´t manage to go on after the group stages (if I remember correctly) and they didn´t played last year. Yes they have some international experienced players in the team but are not experienced as a team like we are.
Then I remember the game against Celtic. It´s true they were really clinical but nothing more. I was surprised about the time before they scored first: I had the strong feeling they feared Celtic (maybe because they bet Barca before) and that´s just not as good as their reputation is (in the press).
I think if we play totally concentrated and awake our strengths in both legs (no matter what the intermediate result after the home game should be) then we will face not much more than some risky counter attacks and the leaguer of our box in some situations. If not than it could end in real battle in which I think we would lose. All depends on the focus of the players and the will of them to win more than just the championship. Simultaneously we can rest the best players between both legs in BL and before against Hamburg to let them just concentrate on Juve – it´s just the question of how you (Heynckes and staff) get this across the team.

I charge a clear victory…

As a follower of the Egyptian NT, we were near invincible when we used the 3-5-2, the only ones who managed to beat us were those who parked the bus. This is what worries me about Juventus, but if we man up we should be able to win this!

I must say I did not saw so much of Juve except in CL but when I saw them play they didn´t parked the bus and I also think they are not a team whitch has this "parking-philosophy". They want to cross the speed limit to strech the opponents aswell as Dortmund and I think that this style accomodate us. Teams whitch are playing like that are weak for counter attacks when they get pressed in midfield very hard and that´s our best discipline this year.

I'm hearing stuff about Gomez vs Mandzukic.

I'm sorry but Chiellini would EAT UP Gomez.
Gomez' strength's are exactly those things that Chiellini is best at defending.

Mandzukic would be a better choice in this game. But he must regain his form.

Personally I don't care which player Jupp selects for this fixture cause i feel both would be effective in there own way. In the Madrid game Gomez really annoyed Pepe and Ramos till the very end and was able to snuff out a goal. I believe Mandzu can frustrate Juventus CBs and open up room for for someone else. In my opinion Jupp couldnt be faulted for whom he picks it just matters how he wants to approach playin Juve and who is in better form. At the moment i would put in Gomez as he showed how clinical of a striker he is by bossing the Leverkusen defenders and keeping his composure to put away that ball where the goalie couldn't reach it. I think that was a goal Mandzu would not have been able to score if he played and that type of play would also come in handy vs Juve since there CBs are no pushovers.....

Arrogant, dominant, fußball Gott.

You mean the match in which our friend Howard Webb (who later on in the CL final missed seeing Maicon's handball) who was already extremely lenient with not sending off Camoranesi (at least three times) whistled the end of the match with Olic through one-on-one against Buffon? Never saw our players complain so match at the final whistle.

Had to mention this:
Juventus defender Martin Caceres was involved in a nasty car accident following his side's victory over Bologna. He's currently stable in hospital. (Head trauma and facial cuts).

Get well soon, good Juventino!
This is nasty, atrocious in every way possible things are able to be atrocious! Get well soon! Hope he can play against us, would be a shame seeing him out like this.
