Yes ofcourse,We must get behind the team now....

I was thinking of something, though I dont know if its possible...Please consider this MUTU and all....

I was thinking that, from Bayernforum, lets compile a sort of e-message,pledging our support and belief for the team, telling them that we are behind you, from e-fans all over the world. We can accomodate messages of 100 or so users,if we limit it to say 200 characters or something. Then if it is possible,we can send it to Bayern, and may be they can show it our players...We are the biggest English speaking fan forum...so it may be possible. The demography of Bayernforum is pretty interesting,we are from Malta,Chile,India,USA,etc etc etc.May be we can perform this gesture. But we must act fast,if this is to materialize. Please consider this MUTU and the Mods........

Interesting idea but there's no way the letter would arrive before Saturday, plus I'm very busy with personal stuff :( Perhaps for next week, and if they fail to win? Or perhaps someone else could organise it. As I said, I have no time for this :(

Yes I think it is a very nice idea, and we should do it. We have members from all over the world here and I am sure it would be great for the players to remember that people from every part of the world are still behind them, still supporting them. Even if it doesn't arrive, or the players don't see it, we would at least have done our best as true fans.

Yes...let i arrive on Sunday,or Monday,or Tuesday.
But someone must take it upon themselves to organize it.We may start a thread for starts....and mods should sticky it.Then we can post our messages, with our names and locations.Maybe we can set a character limit of each message.Someone start it...I think it is possible....

Then we can mail the whole of it to some authority at Bayern. The Mods may contact the Bayern Management.Once they get the mail, with all the best wishes,I think they know wat to do to show it to the players and everyone.

I think it should be limited to just a few sentences each. A short and to the point message from everyone.

Apart from the thread we should also try contacting the people on the facebook page. I am sure that not all of them post on this forum.

Seems like Eto'o wasn't offside after all. Not sure if this is accurate though.

Good link. I think he was onside; but even if he was off, it was not by much and good defenders make a clear move ON TIME to leave the attacker clearly offside. If the defender has a doubt he needs to play the attacker onside, so he can have positional advantage.

There is a lot of frustration in the forum about this game, to one extend I do not understand it: the writting was on the wall. Go back and look at how many games Bayern lost this season because of the same "schoolyard play": many!

There are some posts blaming specific players for each goal. True, there are goals where you can tell who was most at fault, but in all cases it was more than that: the system failed, like many times this season. In the first goal there was average goalkeeping from Kraft but our last defender kept Eto'o on site, in the 2nd Bastian was lazy on trying to block Schnejder's shot, Kraft did little to dive to the post and Pranjic did not cover his wing, in the 3rd Breno lost a 1v1 with Eto'o, but Pranjic did not cover the far post, again.

Van Gaal refused to reinforce the team in January, specially the backline instead he opted for converting players, one day Pranjic is a LB, the next a winger, then a CM, same with Gustavo, Tymo. Even last week Gustavo played CD, 3 days later he is back on CM.

BTW, has anyone noticed how much weight Breno has gained lately. He started to look obese and that is why he is so slow.

When you read the statement from Bayern's Board saying they are parting ways with Van Gaal because "they do not share his philosophy" this is what they are talking about and nobody can tell Van Gaal he is wrong. Our players are confused, make silly mistakes and are out of shape. Lahm, Bastian, Muller produce better football after they work one week with Jlo than after working a month with Van Gaal. They look slow, confused, tired and conservative. One mentioned Badstuber as not having quality for Bayern, guess what? Look at how he has played for Germany in EURO qualification, he is probably one of the most consistent players for Germany, his timing, ball distribution, positioning, he even scores goals.

The two pillars of Van Gaal's philosophy: Possession and interchangeability (part of the classic Dutch school of Total Football) are outdated and ineffective against the new German style played by the likes of Dortmund, Mainz and Hannover.

I have been a Bayern fan since the 70's, for almost 40 years and I couldn't believe myself when a few days ago I used two Bayern games videos (vs Dortmund and Hannover) as examples of how not to play football to the Academy kids that I coach.

Sat1, our local TV station, eurosport, a damn lot of people agree that it was offside. And that picture doesn't make me think different, it still is!

Not an excuse, yes. But still offside.

Just one question

WTF was Pranjic doing? Look at his leg. It looks like if he wanted to keep Eto'o on side. I think it is not off side tbh

This is absolutely correct... The system failed indeed... LvG's negligence towards defensive aspects of the game did let us down over and over... And his stubbornness caused him ignore his faults, which led to such a disastrous season...

I nevertheless adore the man... His love for the beauty of the game deserves praise, and he improved the attacking soul of our team to the next level.... But winning games and getting results is not always about the beauty of the game, and that's where the historical philosophy of our club parts ways from LvG's ideas....

Jorge wrote:BTW, has anyone noticed how much weight Breno has gained lately. He started to look obese and that is why he is so slow.

I mentioned it several times in the past 4-5 months... And I think lack of conventional (scientific?) fitness training is showing it's results, not only in Breno, but also in many other players who seem out of peak-form: A slow DvB becomes too slow (practically useless)... A good defender like Badstuber who is naturally a little slow, but compensates it with great positioning/concentration, becomes so slow that becomes a weak spot of the team.... An ever-trying Mueller seems tired and off-top-speed (>>less work-rate)... Schweini simply avoids trying to do some quick reactions many times, which I think could be another sign of tiredness... and many other players are not at hteir best too... The only one I see better than last year is Mario Gomez, who, if I remember correctly, had some extra trainings with a private fitness specialist.... and probably that's why our results gets worse when our schedule gets too loaded...

Jorge wrote:The two pillars of Van Gaal's philosophy: Possession and interchangeability (part of the classic Dutch school of Total Football) are outdated and ineffective against the new German style played by the likes of Dortmund, Mainz and Hannover.

I think if it's combined with a great defensive system, it could actually work (and that's where LvG simply failed)... Even last year, when our defense was not so bad, it worked for us... but it certainly won't work with such a negligence towards defensive parts of the game...

So that's why you understand it so well!... :D =D> =D> =D>
We are proud to have such a great Bayern fan here....

Do you guys think that WORLD CUP killed our season?

Lahm, Schweini, Badstuber, Müller... they are all out of form and in the last few games our team usually looks really tired in the second half.
