Hope he gets better soon and this may open a spot for a Weihrauch or a Freisenbichler to come in on the bench

While qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League is guaranteed, FC Bayern still wants to beat BATE Borisov on Wednesday. Goals are finishing on top of group F and get revenge for that humiliating October loss. Read more in my preview.

Our suspension list is critical as hell. Dante, Basti, and Javi all within a single yellow from suspension. I don't know how to approach this game, but I wouldn't field a full-strength squad for this one:

Shweinsteiger is a must for the first KO game no matter what, so I'd give him a rest here. Plus, his performances have been overshadowed by fatigue lately, so it's a safe bet to bench him. Since we'll be expecting Gustavo back after the break, the risk of Martinez getting a yellow (and trust me, he will) is more favorable to take. As for Dante, we simply don't have that much of an option. He's experienced enough to avoid a rough challenge, though. Plus, I wouldn't expect BATE to trouble him that much during the game. Shaqiri should be given a chance on the RAM, which I don't remember seeing him playing there (maybe in that Pokal game before the season started?). Muller or Kroos NEEDS to rest. Same goes for Alaba. The little guy has been on full-load ever since he came back from that injury.

Does the yellow card count resets after the group stage?

-----------------------GOMEZ-----------------------------
-------WEISER--------KROOS---------SHAQIRI----------
---------------TYMO-----------MARTINEZ----------------
COTENTO-----DANTE---------BOATENG--------LAHM
------------------------NEUER----------------------------

I think that Weiser needs a chance tonight, and since we have already qualified, there's no harm in playing him as he needs experience on the big stage to hep him grow as a player, while Ribery has contributed so much in the recent weeks and deserves a rest tonight.

Tymo definitely needs to start alongside Martinez. Can should be on the bench and ready to come in in case we are winning and need to rest either Tymo or Martinez.I think we can all say Schweini needs to rest.

Alaba HAS been tired out and needs his rest, as it's essential for him to prosper and become better, and at the same time Contento is quite reliable when given the chance and I think that he deserves a chance in European football, seeing he played so well vs Chelsea. We haven't got a choice for CB, unless van Buyten replaces Dante, and I don't recommend it because we need a stronger defense fielding a younger squad. Same goes for Lahm and Neuer.

This is an ideal line-up to start, (we need to copy Dortmund  ) maybe Rafinha for Lahm. At half time we bring in Muller for Kroos as a given, the other 2 subs could be Van Buyten, Lahm, Alaba or Ribery based on how the game unfolds.

Gomez needs to play all 90 minutes, this is the ideal game to give him as many minutes as possible.
