Pirlo as all that... and we all know what kind of genius he is

Pirlo didn't have an impressing start of career either, I think he came to light in an amateur tournament by accident... Inter gave up on him, then came regret...

he used to play behind the strikers and even at milan played there but then ancelotti saw his strength and pushed him further back.

Pirlo.. i still think he gets way more credit then deserved, anyway.. Hojbjerg a new Martinez? Well i hope you meant the Javi from last season and not the one from 2012 and 2013 because Hojbjerg has done nothing to impress me so far except his first half against BvB in the cup final this year.

Xavi + Schweini = Hojbjerg :?
They can't play in the CL for Bayern yet... maybe sometimes in BuLi.

How did you rate Gaudino's, Højbjerg's and Weiser's performance?

Højbjerg: the new Javi Martinez
Weiser: the new Rafinha
Gaudino: the new Ottl
Rode (even though you didn't ask): the new Salihamidzic

You've been to harsh on Gaudino - I don't agree, he is the new Pirlo :coffee:

I saw nothing special from him so far to be honest. He has some good passing and ball distribution, but other than that nothing much. He's slow, he's physically weak, he stays back and chickens out of doing tackles, his jumping is questionable. Maybe he's just young and timid and not fully grown up yet, but unless he becomes stronger and more determined I don't see him as Bayern material.[/quote]
Pretty much sums up pirlo indeed.

I loved that back heel from Boateng. He must have got bored with defending and decided to make a run into the box, and pretended he belonged there to perfection by taking his time and looking cool as ever with the back heel.

This is true, but those qualities are nothing to scoff at.

He has a hard time controlling the ball when receiving less than perfect passes. His heat-map shows he didn't particularly held back bur rather circulated around attacking midfield; problem was he managed about one good pass forward and the rest went straight back at midfield. He's not exactly dribbling up or sideways - or anywhere - and totally agree on the lack of physicality here. I don't want Richards, but hell he's doing Usami a favor. He lost some crucial balls as well.

He must be doing something right at training because all of you guys seem to be praising the guy and I am not exactly sure why.

I strongly agree with MUTU! I haven't seen anything that tells me this kid is it. It's only because he is young that I am timid about judging him but I've yet to be see something truly promising. Hopefully Pep and the rest of the staff can see something im missing.

See? Thats the SHIT that ruins kids like that because of the cancer that is called the media.. They put unneeded pressure on guys like that in that age, as if the pressure to compete in such a star studded team isnt already big enough...

Does anyone know why Bayern covered up the club crest on their gloves during the game?
