He got what he deserved, nothing more nothing less. One needs to learn that when you're a public figure you don't say certain things.

Alaba not being played as third choice - or first or second or whatevs - DM is the biggest disappointment the great game last night brought to my eyes.

Anyone of you beep beeeeeeep beeeeeeeeeeeeep (audio profanity sensor still active) wants to blaspheme Dante again?

Am i the only one who noticed the numerous sloppy passes throughout the game? Im not blaming the new system but i feel like that may be a problem vs better teams....

Kroos had 100% pass completion rate at the end of the first half. I also saw a stat that said our overall pass completion rate was in the high 80's, which is phenomenal.

Since Pep was forced to cover the Center midfield role with Schweinsteiger or Lahm his 4-1-4-1 shapes only when the team is attacking, once Bayern loses the ball Kroos drops back and seldom works pressing high on the pitch so the team switches back to 4-2-3-1 right away, which is basically no different than JH's concept.

At the beginning of the season Pep's idea was to play Thiago behind the 4 mids with the Centerbacks as pivots higher on the field (a resuscitation of Van Gaal's formation but with better players) and this scared the heck out of me since our Centerbacks have no pace and a handful of BL teams are 10X more vertical than Spanish teams which might have been Pep's reference. As necessity is the mother of invention and Pep is an inventive guy he had no problem adapting his concept to a more effective proven system which deviates less than his predecessor’s and I do not have a problem if he goes back to a pure 90 min. 4-1-4-1 once Martinez is back only for certain games, but a similar system with Thiago as a stopper-distributer and Boateng-Dante high on the pitch against the likes of BVB will never work.

Will only 100% pass completion rate satisfy you Firefox? :P
There weren't any 'sloppy' passes that could have been dangerous.
Also, our long balls were pretty accurate.

Overall good game today.

What I find interesting is that he replaced Kroos not Rafinha. Is it an indication that Schweini will be playing in the 4 with Martinez as the defensive midfielder?

Maybe Pep was hoping someone was finally going to break Rafinha's leg.
