What a brilliant performance, even my Celtic supporting mates were messaging me on Facebook to say how good we were.

Wonder what the score would have been if Celtic had rightly went down to 10 men with us being awarded the penalty for the pull on Lewi?

Will let you all know what the Scottish media are saying about it tomorrow but it'll probably be amusing, stuff along the lines of "aye, but back at Parkhead with the loud home support it'll be different."

Trust me, even at it's best Parkhead doesn't compare with the intensity of the Westfalenstadion - if our boys can go and beat the Doofmunders on their own patch winning in Glasgow will not be a problem! :D

Got the first of the Scottish media reports, this one from BBC Scotland's Tom English (who is actually Irish and works in Scotland - just to confuse everyone!)

Pretty decent write up and makes the game sound even more one-sided than I thought it was!

Because he has something all of our players except Thiago don't have, creativity and technique. He is good dribbler with great ball control and can give good passes, his long range shot is also good.
A guy that can be useful in big games or when Thiago is rested

This was curious to me. Robben was pretty clearly gassed after 45 minutes or so. Weird to see Coman come off....
IMO, keep Coman on and either put James in at RW (or I suppose could put him at LW and move Coman to RW, why not) or move Müller out to RW and put James in central.
Haven't watched the game yet, but this would have been my preferred sub;

Lewy
Coman-Müller-Robben

To

Lewy
Coman-James-Müller

The second formation would be my x11, in fact.

Ok some guys over here are getting really carried on by thinking we can do the triple. Yes i'd love that and hope it too... BUT let's not be overconfident and take the games one by one... After all, that's what happened in 2013... Game by game we built our triple...

So the Scottish media today seems in part impressed by how we played, in part surprised by just how good we played last night and in part appalled at how badly Celtic played (though suspect that's unfair - they played badly because they couldn't compete with a well organised, hard working and motivated FCB!)

The Glasgow Herald headline was: "Scottish champions brought crashing back to earth by German masterclass", whilst The Times Scotland went with: "Meek Celtic beaten up again by the mighty" (quite like that one! )

Meanwhile in the mass market tabloid papers (our equivalent of Bild etc) the Scottish Sun goes for "Brendan Rodger's men comfortably beaten by hosts in Allianz Arena" and the Daily Record headline reads: "Celtic left drowning their sorrows as Bayern Munich produce a festival of football."

My favourite quote was this one from a Daily Record piece where the north of England holiday resort of Blackpool was compared with our home ground. Blackpool is an old fashioned seaside resort famous for having massive light displays the length of the beach however according to the Record: "It wasn’t just the men on the pitch who lit up the Allianz Arena. The sensational stadium makes Blackpool Illuminations look like a 40 watt bulb in the garage."

Hopefully that joke does translate well for an international audience! :P

Can I sum things up by saying - it's great to be a Bayern fan in Scotland today!! :D

Not when they deserve it..... and what's wrong it's swearing? Don't take it personal it's just supportive adjectives....

I show emotion much better when cussing, otherwise it would be a monotoned snore fest.....

Winning CL depends on a lot of factor. such as team defence, luck and referees.especially luck plays a good role in it.

After all, our defensive game must improve more, considering we still give away easy chances. Boateng and Alaba must return to their best self. in addition, we should defend better as team.
