That was not Mueller. That was Schuerrle

I'm giving Ancelotti time cause he's a top coach and surely knows what he's doing. He's getting some good scores too, and losing 1-0 away to Atletico de Madrid isn't the end of the world even if we played a horrible game.

But I think the team is atm far from being better than with Pep.

That being said, I think that Carlo will give us some defensive stability that we've been lacking since Heynckes departure. And that could be crucial for the KO rounds next year

I hope to see big improvements in the next few weeks with most of our players being fit again
I TRUST IN ARJEN ROBBEN

I lived in a lie then... I always thought that it was Mueller cause he had moved in that side for a little.

JANCKER wrote:Mueller played most on the right wing when we won the CL... but I agree that he's best behind the striker, giving a helping hand to everyone in attack when needed. I just don't see that being the main problem... I see it more in the weak midfield. Alonso is a weakness.

Maybe Lahm should be sent to that office he wants to work so badly... I'm a bit disappointed in him. He's a healthy player that planned to quit too early to go work in a office.

Against Atletico it's difficult to score, but you should at least try to keep a clean sheet...

I think Carlo should give Kimmich a chance as a RB under the 433 and see how it goes for a few matches... It's sad but i dont think Lahm is playing very well.

He advanced forward better than this Lahm in the Euro. His crosses aren't that bad...

Agree. Besides, most of his goals have come from the right side, like a full-back with a good shot on goal going in (like Aurier). I hope Carlo gives it a shot.

I gave Pep 2 years, I give Ancelotti as much...

tbh Pep changed our style of play drastically, Carlo is building from it. He shouldn't take much time to adapt. He should have realized by now Müller can't play on the wing, specially after the Euros. I'm hoping this choice was rather taken because fitness conditions of our other players than because 4-3-3 will be his way to go and he won't change it.

I don't wanna see Alonso playing for us anytime soon again as a starter. Kimmich should be given the chance already if we aren't switching formations for now.

I don't know why we keep pointing at Alonso. the performance as whole was bad there was no plan going forward except crossing the ball.[/quote]

You could say the same thing about Coman last year against Juve... that doesn't always work, especially against Atletico who are a very composed side defensively at home... such explosive players can make the difference when you introduce them in the 2nd half when the opposition is a bit tired but as you can see that doesn't always work.
I think that it would have been better to keep Mueller in the game... you never know with him. What was Mueller playing when he assisted Goetze for that WC final goal and in what minute was it? You can't predict Mueller.

Juve almost kicked our ass out last year with the awesome Pep...

1- Robben came in that match ,stayed and won the CL for bayern.
2- I agree , I would sub in Robben for Thiago or Alonso
3- what all this has to do with last year Juve match?

You said Robben turned the game around... I say in the same way Coman did last year... it's got to do cause we weren't that convincing during Pep's time either, especially against sides that are on par with us. How many positive results we collected away with Pep? I doubt that Carlo can do worse than that.

again you went back to Pep. The fact that Bayern have not been as dominant as before , they are dependent on the old stars , and are playing bad football has nothing to do with Pep. I know you would say they are wining etc but do you really enjoy watching this team?

Ohhhhhh, how I saw Bastian and Javi destroying Atletico's midfield during the match that I also figured out how I didn't think the same some 4-5 months ago. Jupp Heynckes would deal with all Spanish sides in the last 3 seasons without a humiliation and silly away defeats.

We screw up the entire great work and vision in December 2012 and later we didn't sign Tuchel as a Heynckes successor when he was available or when we could have controlled the damage in the last 3 years. :|

Now as they say: "Deal/Live with it".

not always on the same page with you but you nailed it ( i'm still a Pep fan because I believe despite some of his mistakes he did a great job with the team ). Didn't you enjoy watching BVB against Real yesterday?

OK man... when the same things happened under Pep, you probably accused others of being Pep haters and negative, so... there's no point to argue.

Now we're obviously the fourth best team in Europe, way behind Atléti and the other two spanish sides.

I feel it's too early to make such statements but tonight we were evidently the worse team. We'd probably have been better off playing against the other team from Madrid.

I disagree

we were outplayed by
- BVB in the supercup
- outplayed by Schalke
- by ingolstadt
- by Hamburger SV
- and definitely today
