I really liked Ribery's determination, he was chasing every ball like a maniac... he seems extra motivated. You could see that he didn't lose much of his pace.

Neuer also remained stationary for the penalty. You might say he realised it was too high, but if you ask me, a crossbar is not that far from a goal.

That said, in my opinion he was our "best" player.

Neuer said in the post-match interview that he noticed that he can't reach the ball so he pulled his arms back so he could get up faster.

Maybe but I noticed that he didn't track back as he did before. Maybe he was just tired due to needless running. :D

Terrible game! We were the second better team in the field. Simeone outplayed Ancelotti and their XI outplayer our XI.

Felipe Luis wrecked our right wing. Müller and Lahm were subpar. I'm starting to notice that Lahm is losing pace and stamina to last 90+ minutes in high intensity games, he needs support from the winger or we will need to buy next spring a world class RB.

Alonso can't play important CL games anymore, he can't anything useful besides good long range passes. We conceded because of his bad header and sadly Thiago slide tackle was bad and Boateng stumbled when it mattered.

Lewandowski needs to be more clinical, he can't wasted his chances against top teams.

I understand that we need time for Ancelotti to adjust our team to his ideas and vice versa. Hopefully we will learn from this and become better against defensive counter attacking teams. I hope that we find the ideal formation and starting XI by spring and that our key players will be healthy.

I think he is even more stubborn than Pep or he doesn't know any other system. I am not complaining because we lost but because of the performances since Mr. Carlo has took over.
1 - Muller is not a wide player anymore.
2- Vidal is best when he plays as box to box midfielder not as a cover for full back.
3- Bayern right side of attack is dead.
4- Bayern is not good in converting crosses (maybe not the low ones) yet player fire crosses from edge of the box.
5- Bayern has been fearsome because of its wing play in past 7 years. now it looks like a headless chicken.
6- it has been poor performances since the beginning and there haven't been any sigh of improvement.
7- Just compare Bayern performances with BVB.
8- I am not giving him time. Did we give Pep time? Did Thomas tuchel needed time to rejuvenate BVB in his first season.
9- I don't like Klopp but maybe Bayern should have brought him instead.

I gave Pep 2 years, I give Ancelotti as much... Believe it or not, you can check it for yourself, Pep had my full support for 2 years despite all.

I gave Pep 2 years, I give Ancelotti as much...

tbh Pep changed our style of play drastically, Carlo is building from it. He shouldn't take much time to adapt. He should have realized by now Müller can't play on the wing, specially after the Euros. I'm hoping this choice was rather taken because fitness conditions of our other players than because 4-3-3 will be his way to go and he won't change it.

I don't wanna see Alonso playing for us anytime soon again as a starter. Kimmich should be given the chance already if we aren't switching formations for now.

Mueller played most on the right wing when we won the CL... but I agree that he's best behind the striker, giving a helping hand to everyone in attack when needed. I just don't see that being the main problem... I see it more in the weak midfield. Alonso is a weakness.

Maybe Lahm should be sent to that office he wants to work so badly... I'm a bit disappointed in him. He's a healthy player that planned to quit too early to go work in a office.

Against Atletico it's difficult to score, but you should at least try to keep a clean sheet...

yes but flash back to Juve match first leg. Muller started on the right. Bayern scored the first goal then Juve took control until Robben came in for injured Kross. Then Juve couldn't cope with Robbery, over lapping full backs and two forwards.

I don't know why we keep pointing at Alonso. the performance as whole was bad there was no plan going forward except crossing the ball.

Robben came on tonight, nothing changed... maybe even worse... he had plenty of minutes to show us the difference.

You could say the same thing about Coman last year against Juve... that doesn't always work, especially against Atletico who are a very composed side defensively at home... such explosive players can make the difference when you introduce them in the 2nd half when the opposition is a bit tired but as you can see that doesn't always work.
I think that it would have been better to keep Mueller in the game... you never know with him. What was Mueller playing when he assisted Goetze for that WC final goal and in what minute was it? You can't predict Mueller.

Juve almost kicked our ass out last year with the awesome Pep...
