Wish you'd been there tonight. The Bayern fans behind me looked quite offended when the Arsenal scum next to me turned on them after they celebrated Lewa's penalty. They should have just laughed and carried on celebrating four more times.

Well, just ask the Indians for example what they think about the English... Also, people who can shake off close to £100 to see some soccer after a 1-5 in the first leg? Obviously THAT retarded? Boy, talk about poor middle class huh?!

You tried to be a smartass... IMO it's normal that some Englishmen and others will call Germans Nazi... it happens between other nations too, Nazis weren't the only ones in the world.

You definitely misread dude...

I was merely THINKING that he commented with reference to Brexit and the cause of it... That's all

In London £100 is nothing, but we'll see if they can still afford it when the shit really hits the fan post Brexit.

Oh yeah and another thing. At one point they were shouting at the Bayern fans to "support a real club, not a franchise" (tears of laughter emoji, if I knew how to do it). Do they even know what a franchise is? Thought I was watching the wrong BL team when they said that!

Yes #12 I was definitely having a few digs at Brexit and its supporters. I'm a "Remoaner" and proud!

I don't think that Wenger deserves the shit he is getting....
And I did not feel any satisfaction after yest....
It was a dive by Lewa...
And the ReD CarD....
I really felt a sense of pathos(a poetic phrase which I don't know if it is used in English)...
Maybe I don't know Arsenal supporters to well but I would have been super happy had we won like that vs both bastards from Manchester or Chelsea...

I am not a hypocrite and when I am the first to criticise others I won't hold back to give the same treatment to our players.

In my opinion it was a penalty but I'm still confused about the red card. Wasn't that made against the rules?? Also the ref seemed to have shown a yellow card first.

Unbelievable how influential Koscielny is to their defence

Why against the rules? Refs can revise/take back decisions anytime... If anything, I'm actually happy that one of those box referees FINALLY showed he's not just there to make sure he's not hit by a ball...

I thought they eliminated red cards from penalty decisions?

The player can still be red carded if he deliberately fouled a player to stop a goal.

It's made it even more of a grey area. The assistant ref must have deemed Koscielny to have fouled deliberately to inform the referee so.

Yo don't get me wrong guys. I said it was a dive, but yes it was a clear penalty. That was the whole point. He could've quite easily kept running and not be bothered by Koscielny but instead he chose to get close enough to his defender make contact. It was a smart, ruthless decision to take advantage of the system, but it wasn't play-acting like the usual bitch ass dives.
pyrasur wrote:That's what I like about Lewy that separates him from the rest of the strikers we've had at the club. He's got that clever edge, even if he's having an off game in front of goal, he will at least do something to upset the balance of the other team without getting himself into trouble.

If you can recall, there was one moment where he was offside during a long ball over the top, he was close to the ball but obviously didn't go for it and Robben from his right side had to try and get the ball instead. Ospina had to get there before Robben to sweep the ball. Robben got the ball first and Ospina was way out, but unfortunately Robben couldn't take a shot over Ospina and instead drew him out to the outside of the right-hand side of Arsenal's box and took an unsuccessful cross.

Now the moment before Robben went to chase the ball, as Lewandowski was in offside position: you can see that Lewandowski kept running but staggered when he got close enough - this caused Ospina to stagger for a moment too, giving Robben an extra 0.5 second to chase the ball down. Unfortunately it didn't lead to a goal, but without that psychological play by Lewandowski I don't think Robben would've gotten to the ball in the first place. World class.

Ahh I see, thanks. It did seem like a deliberate foul tbh

What are we talking about?

Koscienly foul was intentional, pushes with his hands Lewy when he was about to finish, no intention to defend the ball but to stop the attacker to finish and he did it roughly while at the same moment Lewy read the situation and protected the ball perfectly to win this -clear- penalty. We can't argue about that because as I mentioned Koscielny didn't go for the ball! Robert is the last man, ready to score,he gets fouled intentionally and it's a red.

Exactly. I don't understand how Wenger said it wasn't a penalty because it was very clearly one. Only the red card is debatable
