This is a cruel sports and for the fans who were here for those 2010-2012/13 seasons know that there is no such thing as a guaranteed win

Yes neccessarily... The best is the one who wins the most ;)

Also: who else then was the best 1995? 99? 2003? 2008? Do you remember? Me neither! People remember winners... Not pretenders ;)

I guess over 75% possession and 600+ passes were not enough. Come on Pep you can make them pass the ball 800 times side by side. I know you can. Funny how some don't thing Pep at fault. They blame the players. To me Bayern have had it easy this season. Who have they really played that were any good? Wenger just out coached Pep. Pep changes are as predictable as his style of play. Very boring. Thank god this is Pep's last season. I can't believe if Bayern lose the next game some shitty Greek team will top the table.

The best team is the one who only need one opportunity to beat anyone for the trophy.

You were a much more worthy opponent than our previous 12 opponents, but that's not to say that the win was deserved. Sanchez could have been punished with a penalty for a handball inside the box in the 44th minute, Giroud's goal should have been ruled out, and Oezil's goal would never have happened had the score not have been 1-0 to Arsenal because Pep asked his players to go all out in search for the draw.

Even if you include Giroud's handball goal and Oezil's goal in the statistics, they still show Bayern were the stronger team on the night.

Possession: 31 - 69%
Total attempts: 13 - 22
On target: 8 - 8
Off target: 3 - 6
Blocked: 2 - 8
Corners: 5 - 11

As I said, Bayern had a bad match by their standards, but even in this bad match they still dominated the play. The scoreline is simply too flattering to Arsenal.

Goes to show possession don't mean anything.

Great to see you failed to include 13 shots and 6 on target which with better finishing should have been converted but hey please continue you anti pep agenda must be a fun hobby

Might I recommend stamp collecting

@Kevinx67, If you are talking about who deserved to win you should forget the most meaningful statistic (goals scored) and look at the other statistics. I highlighted 6 of them but your answer focused on just one, which underlines your obsession with possession. I think you're as obsessed with possession as Guardiola, if not more.

I included 99 for a reason... The best is able to defend a lead for **** 3 minutes against two corners, sorry...

About the statistics: still, so much more possession but the same amount of shots on target (and IMHO Arsenal's were even better!) - shows the deficiency in our game... Arsenal could also finish better Firefox, you know?! ;)
It's the same as saying we almost made a draw in Barcelona - the immanent problem in the game is the same though - at least we managed to create a little more... If he - and this is no anti Pep agenda - doesn't finally get some perspective and realizes that you need defense to win championships, he's not gonna achieve something special here... Even if he renews for 10 years... (btw, I think European opposition hasn't been this "weak" in years)
"Control" is worth shit if you don't manage to prevent conceding...

Again, wolfsburg and the rematch will be crucial... Losing in Wolfsburg would prove again, that he is unable to take something against almost par opposition outside of Munich... And not (convincingly) winning the home game vs. Arsenal would show several things, among those that everybody defending him now was, in fact, wrong ;)
He needs to step up now - gonna be interesting...

Possession gives us a better chance to win, doesn't guarantee anything. Like we are guaranteed to lose the UCL because we lost one game to Arsenal. In my opinion this loss is a good omen

I don't really believe in that but hey, I'm willing to try :P :D

I can deal with the loss, just from a pragmatic point of view I seee (some of) the same mistakes over and over and over again - kinda annoying for me ( I think that became clear :P :D )

We'll see...
