Shakhtar won 2-1 against Roma at home and Sevilla played out a 0-0 draw at home against Man Utd.

That Sevilla - Man Utd match was painfully boring.

I have to say I've started to notice something about De Gea.
He has a tendency to throw his body and flail about wildly...no matter how difficult the situation. Thus there's a tendency for him to make even the most routine saves look dramatic and extraordinary. Watching closer, you'll see many of the dramatic saves he makes are really shots straight at his chest - he just ends up sprawling out and palming it away whereas someone like Neuer would simply be better positioned and it would be a perfectly ho-hum average save. And I've also noticed his first move/reaction isn't always the best - tends to start going the wrong direction and then has to correct himself which adds more drama. De Gea is a good keeper, but with a bit better first reactions and better positioning many of the highlight saves he has to make wouldn't be necessary.
It's kind of like an American football player making a one-handed spectacular catch when a "normal" two-handed "boring" catch would've worked just fine, too.

2 awesome saves reminded me on the last season and Neuer's top saves. Definitely one of the three best GKs in the world at the moment.
The first two are Germans, 8) no. 1 Neuer and no. 2 ter Stegen. Then comes De Gea and the rest of the crew.
De Gea is better than Ter Stegen imo

Seville was so wasteful, and all was said by de gea...

Saw Fred's direct fk vs Roma... it was superb

The commentary and post match analysis on BT Sports(I think) were painful. I've never seen more biased commentary than tonight. Praising Man Utd for their perfect away performance, saying Sevilla have a mountain to climb at Old Trafford while the only thing they need is to score a goal, acting like Navas dived when Pogba clearly hit him on the leg, Ferdinand and Scholes saying De Gea is the best GK in the world and better than Neuer because Neuer has conceded many goals in some matches before.

Wtf?

I can't wait until these shit teams get destroyed by Barca, Real, Bayern.

De Gea is an excellent shot stopper but that's all he is. He doesn't sweep behind the defense, distribute the ball well, or offer press resistance in the build up. He's like Timo Horn, not Neuer. Honestly, I think even Ter Stegen is significantly better than him.

Well, Sevilla has a slight advantage going in to the second leg. Since Man Utd hasn't scored an away goal, they will be a bit fearful even if they score the first goal, there's always a possibility of Sevilla scoring one.

Exactly I feel Sevilla are in a much better position than Man United at the moment. Though I think united will still go through as mourinho will park the bus and he is always lucky in such situations.

Bayern's not destroying anyone. Let's not kid ourselves.

If it wasn't for the red card, we would have still won comfortably against Besiktas but it wouldn't have been 5-0. Their front 3, who are not at elite level, showed more pace in the first half than we did at the other end.

I just don't see the same speed in transition from defence to attack as City, Barca, Real, Liverpool & even Man Utd show. Having both Mueller and James in the XI does not help here.

If we do come up against Utd this season, I actually give them a 50-50 chance. We clearly have the better XI but Mourinho won't need to think twice on how to stifle this attack and we don't have Neuer in goal.

Juup had both Javi and Vidal playing yesterday and I think he is looking for a more watertight defence which was key in 2013. There's no evidence of that yet.

Of course, but while the game is on and we're not dominating it's horrific. Listening to them hype their teams and unfairly criticise us is infuriating.
