Nope! Let the philosopher play Real or Barca... He‘s great against Spanish teams!

That’s sarcasm right? He lost all three times with us against three different Spanish opponents!

@Machiavellico - Yes. It seems like Barcelona are the only team who know how to beat Real at the Bernabeu and Real seem to have our number at the Allianz. I will be fine with Barcelona in the semifinals but I do not want to face Real at all!

Is anyone aware of what el cabron had to say about his team's exit last night?

He said this; " over here they are used to lose, in fact I came twice on this same chair when I beat Man U, tomorrow is a new day ans we shall start thinking of our next match"

What a piece of shit... Man U supporters should go out for him carry him out from his villa in the middle of the night and ....

Because I don’t want to face Real. Yes they scare me because against Madrid we seem to have no home advantage at the Allianz! Barcelona are the team best equipped to knock out Real Madrid.

Also, I want the last four spots in the CL to belong to the Four best teams from the four best leagues. That’s why I want to see Bayern, Man City, Barcelona and Juventus in the semifinals.

Good draw. But I think it is unrealistic for RM to play Barca at QF. Bayern drawing Sevilla is great. I hope they smoke high on the history that we lost to La Liga teams for 4 years. They could dream.

Roma will definitely be easier. But beating Roma (who we beat 9 - 1 aggregate back in the days) will not provide the confidence boost as we beat Sevilla.

Let's not fool ourselves.

1-0 through the qualifiers
5-3 at the group stages
5-1 at the last 16
2-1 at the QFs

They've been, hands down, better than the Bundesliga so far. I'm scared to open up the UEFA Country Coefficients for this season...

Well, the Bundesliga had an unusually bad year due to:
1. Ancelotti
2. Dortmund firing Tuchel and appointing two incompetent managers in a row
3. The best teams in the Bundesliga not having good seasons 2016-17, leading to weak teams qualifying for European Competitions
4. Bad Luck

2 of those four factors are already solved, and the bad luck isn't particularly likely to reoccur. The only remaining problem is Dortmund's dumpster fire at coaching, and with a whole ton of luck that might also be solved.

I guess what my point is that even though the Bundesliga had a bad season, it doesn't erase the relatively good seasons of the last five years, nor show that Bundesliga is destined to have bad seasons in the future. The EPL has performed a little closer to their wealth this season, but they're still underperforming it significantly.

3 Spanish
2 English
2 Italians
1 German

Am I right in saying it's been a long time since all quarter finalists were from the traditional big four leagues?

Dammit, so we have 5 players, who if they receive a yellow card in either of the two legs of the QFs, would be suspended for the following match.

Then we have these players who would miss the 1st leg of the semifinal if they received a yellow card in each of the two legs of the QFs: Vidal, Thiago, Hummels, Ribery, Rafinha, James and Ulreich.
