Not defending Pep but Zidane doesn't even deserve as much credit as bloody Ronaldo in this run. The whole CL campaign is awful as I've said before.

JANCKER that isn't the topic of conversation at all. I don't want to talk about Pep.

Zidane basically made every mistake that he could in that final... Including subbing of Kroos ()... And I know Guardiola is not the topic, but given the IMHO huge difference in squad capability it shows how much Guardiola ruined that Atlético tie...

Anyway: Zidane was lucky to be at the right place at the right time - or does anyone think diMatteo is a remotely good coach?! I don't...
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

So where the heck is our Karma then? RM winning 11 out of 11 and us winning 5 out of 10?! You think it just didn't happen with Guardiola because of (his) Karma? :D

You see... I don't rate Zizou, Enrique, Di Matteo or Pep that highly. For me, LvG > every each one of them and add Ferguson...
Rookies are winning the CL, they're turning out to be the best. Is Zizou good enough or not, it doesn't matter, they won with him and that's what matters.

Nah, van Gaal is worse than Guardiola IMHO, he had all the money in the world and couldn't build a decent squad in two years...

But we're OT-ing...

To stay on topic then IMO the favorites will be Barca, Bayern, RM again... don't see anything changing.

On the contrary, I would argue that we saw that despite Pep's mistakes in the first game, we could have qualified anyway (as we all said after the second leg) with a little more luck because we are so superior to them.

I predicted that Di Matteo would be disastrous and would get fired the moment they said they would keep him. I expect Zidane to be better, though I'm still not sure whether he'll make a great coach.
Super Bayern! Super Bayern! Hey! Hey!

2016/17 UEFA Champions League season kicks off [source]

Maltese Champions (I am not their fan, not at all...) won the first leg against B36 Faeroe Isl 1-0 ...

The Maltese Champions played vs Crvena zvezda and lead the score until the 66th minute... They had a wrongly dissallowed goal which could have took them to a 2-0 lead.
However in the second half they conceded two goals one of them in a dubious off side position.

Valletta 1-2 Crvena zvezda
Celtic's fellow former European chamions Crevna zvezda only just avoided an upset of their own as they came from behind in Malta. Valletta led through Federico Falcone from the 15th to 66th minute, when Aleksandar Katai levelled. Predrag Sikimić, who had come on just before the equaliser, made it 2-1 with 15 minutes to go

By the way Celtic lost to a team from Gibraltar

Salut FIV

Valletta could have been 2 up , I don't think that the cancelled goal was really offside.
Still frame:

This is the particular action from footage of the entire match.
