Well well, looks like Gladbach still have a chance to qualify for the ko stage. all they need now is to beat Celtic and City at home, and hope that Pep's team fails to beat Barcelona in 2 weeks.

Don't get my hopes up man! I'm already thrilled at the win today, I can't take my hopes of City getting knocked out dashed.

UCL top goalscorers:

1. Messi ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
2. Cavani ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
3. Kimmich ⚽️⚽️⚽️
4. Aubameyang ⚽️⚽️⚽️
5. Özil ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Would be fun if Kimmich scored more than Messi...

Atletico continue their streak of 1-0 wins whilst disallowing the opponent any meaningful chance on goal :x

Yes, they did, but they still weren't playing at 100% on the attacking front. They're "pacing" their intensity and playing it safe.

NYON, Switzerland (AP) -- New UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin tells AP he's open to Champions League final being played outside Europe.

Big week for German clubs in Europe.

In the Champions League: Bayern, Dortmund and Monchengladbach all won. Leverkusen tied against Group favorite Hotspur. Bayern and Dortmund are well positioned to advance. Monchengladbach and Leverkusen have it uphill both standing 3rd but still both can make it happen.

In the Europa League Schalke won to go perfect 3 in 3 and Mainz drew holding its first place tie in the group.

Football is probably the only major popular team sport which can be considered European (and South American) and which seems to unite all of Europe. Stuff like basketball sucks compared to the US league. Let's keep our biggest football matches in Europe, please.
Super Bayern! Super Bayern! Hey! Hey!
