Ramos is lucky he didn't see a second yellow... Clattenburg was horrible... Dortmund were very unlucky that it wasn't at least 4-2, exciting game nonetheless

Dortmund lacked experience but Real Madrid are a tough team to beat as they seem balanced and stable.
Leverkusen were clumsy and so far, I don't see any improvement in their game in the last couple of years, Schmidt becoming to show his limits here.

How the heck did Neverkusen ever manage to get to a CL final? I was a nine year old yet to discover football beyond the English third division in 2002 and have only ever known them in their current guise as a serial embarrassment to themselves and the league

I remember that very well...
They were superb. Eliminating Juve Lpool ManU and they were the best team in the final.
Ze Roberto was not available for the final as he was booked in the s/f.
Casillas made some 8-10 incredible saves. He came in early in the first half as the #1 picked up an injury.

Dembele > Coman

I really think that Bayern stalls too much already for Coman regarding his €21m clause, it doesn't look so good for speedy Kingsley.
The things is what winger can Bayern buy with that money, hardly the case to find a better prospect than Coman, huh?

Vizekusen for ever! They rock =D>
BVB's kindergarden looked good against a top flight,if a fit Reus was there it would be much more interesting. Great spectacle.
Sporting is going to be the darkhorse through the knock out stage, they are a veeeery good team.

That was a final year for Leverkusen - shine or return to mediocrity. They lost everything and they never recovered the level of that 4 year era which was an absolute disappointment that had marked them as Neverkusen(I remember the Südkurve's banner at Olympiastadion for them).
End of the 90's and all until 2002 was their 'golden' period. After that, many years nothing was going on until Jupp Heynckes arrived and in just 2 years put the club very high in German football and the CL.

But that 2001/2002 under Klaus Topmöller was absolutely crazy, especially the CL knockout stage, epic games and victories. :)

Missing out on Dembele was quite the bummer and he is a more complete player than Coman...actually they're not many players as complete as Dembele at any age level. Hopefully Bayern can entice him to Munich in the near future...

However he first has to learn that football is a team game ... He never seems to pass the ball.

I think that Dembele is more immature than selfish... he fails to notice his teammates. He will get better with time...

I would trade Coman for Dembele anytime, and throw an additional €30m while we're at it. The kid's unbelievable.

Leave Coman alone. I would tarde Costa + 30. Coman+Dembele would be sweet french wings.

Well sure I agree, but I was talking in the context of which young French winger I'd rather have because they were compared a couple of posts above ;)

Stop hating on Costa... :P IMO at the moment: Costa > Dembele... Dembele has the potential to become better than Costa and Coman but we'll see.

Dembele cost less to BVB than Coman to us...
