I have to ask, since I stumble upon the same problem highlighted in almost every topic - why are the higher wages so much of a pain in the ass for us? I mean, we are not in debt, financial situation is very sound... is our board just notoriously cheap or am I missing something here? Real is probably richer, sure, but not by much compared to us. :roll:

For sure. Also, Bayern does already pay one of the highest wages in football, on average... but it's the same old thing - if you give one person a raise, everyone else will ask for one too

Okay... Let me sort this out...

ONE:
Ronaldo has a whole extremely talented squad working for him... Not like Messi doesn't, but overall I think they do not have the same level... The rapist shouldn't have won a single title last year, yet he won two... That said: he's currently in better form... I have no doubt however, who's the better player, and he's not having a statue put up at an airport that reflects the ugliness of his soul...

TWO:
I heard we were second or third in salaries in Europe - not true?
Thing is, German culture or not, we have a philosophy of only paying huge amounts of money to proven players and/or those who contributed a lot to the club...
I can understand letting Kroos go for the first part... I cannot, however, accept bringing in Alonso and paying him what Kroos wanted in turn... Is just a stupid dumbass move, regardless of how you put it...
(for some time I was actually backing that decision... But that was when Alonso still was of some value and not this much of a liability, plus Kroos actually still **** up big games (World Cup Final anyone?)

Not the team I would want to see lift the cup but when their opponents are Real Madrid (who will be 90mins away from a winning a back to back UCL for the first time ever) one has to close an eye and a half and hope that Juve wins it.
