I have to ask, since I stumble upon the same problem highlighted in almost every topic - why are the higher wages so much of a pain in the ass for us? I mean, we are not in debt, financial situation is very sound... is our board just notoriously cheap or am I missing something here? Real is probably richer, sure, but not by much compared to us.

For sure. Also, Bayern does already pay one of the highest wages in football, on average... but it's the same old thing - if you give one person a raise, everyone else will ask for one too

Yes, I do.

I don't and I think several players are better than Messi today. However, that doesn't mean that Messi wasn't the best in the past.

For example?

Okay... Let me sort this out...

ONE:
Ronaldo has a whole extremely talented squad working for him... Not like Messi doesn't, but overall I think they do not have the same level... The rapist shouldn't have won a single title last year, yet he won two... That said: he's currently in better form... I have no doubt however, who's the better player, and he's not having a statue put up at an airport that reflects the ugliness of his soul...

TWO:
I heard we were second or third in salaries in Europe - not true?
Thing is, German culture or not, we have a philosophy of only paying huge amounts of money to proven players and/or those who contributed a lot to the club...
I can understand letting Kroos go for the first part... I cannot, however, accept bringing in Alonso and paying him what Kroos wanted in turn... Is just a stupid dumbass move, regardless of how you put it...
(for some time I was actually backing that decision... But that was when Alonso still was of some value and not this much of a liability, plus Kroos actually still **** up big games (World Cup Final anyone?)

Higuain is a pathetic excuse for WC, it will be tough against RM with him

Bakayoko impressed me in the first half, but one wonders where he would fit into our team... not really a space for him

Juve look sooooo hungry!
Not the team I would want to see lift the cup but when their opponents are Real Madrid (who will be 90mins away from a winning a back to back UCL for the first time ever) one has to close an eye and a half and hope that Juve wins it.

stopped watching after first half - saw that Juve is now up 2-0... Bakayoko's fault, i guess?
