Maybe because Müller is being played out of position in a system that gives him very little creative freedom.

We wanted Heynckes because we needed a more stable defense. And in the first touches of the season we've seen a quite stable defense, don't we?
Now the next step is a more direct style in the middle, to up the pace and become more effective going forward...

I mean, don't blame 4-2-3-1 and so on, at the moment FCB really needs to play matches and matches, possibly winning.
The first real tactical answers, considering we have a new coach, will be given in a month or something like this, not less.
I don't want to say we're playing well, but we know that "the attack wins games, the defense championships"... it's Heynckes speaking, and he's working in this direction.

We actually got knocked down by one goal. It wasn't and offside. But officially, well, we got away with it. First clean sheet in 13 away matches! =D>

We lost our first home match and won the first away. Defense is awesome and attack awful. If Robben wans't injured, I would have thought that wasn't our team playing today.

Is it me or anyone else thinks Heynkes idea to bring Usami in and out on the same match was idiotic? That better be some sh*t regarding DvB's contract specifying that he MUST play on the first matches or it was really dumb or nervous to do that to the guy. Anyhow Gomez is going to get a lot of wrath until Robben gets back into form. There is simply no other guy that helps Mario's tally than the flying Dutch.

Kudos to Ribery. I have not seen him play like that in ages. That assist was awesome. He is the real reason we got 3 today. Finally, Usami's side kick was very close to goal. Loved the way he found himself at the right spot on that cross. And Gomez was kind of lost at the Autostadt... again...

while this win a tad bit fortunate- i'd rather see bad play but with the winning mentality that grabs us 1-0 wins last minute- this was the bayern of the early 2000's

Positive from the match:
1. Defence was good except lahm
2. gustavo can score goals
3. ribery being aggressive and getting involved.
4.Olic making his comeback
5.Neuer seemed assured and controlled.
5. away victory with a cleansheet.

Negative
1. Lahm has not adjusted properly to left back again
2. kroos lack of consistency during the match
3. ribery hasnt got his magic back
4. Usami seemed lost ( in my opinion, probably the wrong match to bring him in)
5. lack of creativity
6. Gomez didnt score
7.Van buyten on the teamsheet even on the bench ( its just scary when he play).

Changes
1. Muller must play alongside gomez or just behind him.
2. Gustavo seems wasted, bayern have most of the possession anyways, gustavo passing ability is very low. Maybe what loew did with germany against brazil, could be used against zurich. Schweinsteiger playing deeper ( better for his passing and he gets more control in the game) and kroos playing slightly ahead of him trying to link up with the attack.

When talking about Usami, keep in mind that he's a 19-year-old who doesn't even speak the language of a nation he's been in for just a month after coming here from a totally different league. Give the poor kid a break. It's a miracle that he's even been able to play.

yh thats why i said he was played in the wrong game. he should have come him in matches with 15-20 min when bayern are leading by two or three goals and are in control, so he can actually get used to it.

I missed the re-run of the match on ESPN last night.

But reading though here and online, it seems as if we were lucky to get the win, a draw was probably the right result... But we'll take the win!

Hopefully this will be the catalyst, at the end of the day it's only results that matter, and to get the first win under the belt for the BL season is a relief.
