And to think FOXs commentators were questioning Nagelsmann for his substitutions lol, they were spot on, kept the tempo high

No more injuries too.

Well, we've not yet won on Saturday as well, we're losing momentum before the most important game of the season and if we're unlucky we're only 7 ahead on Sunday - and advancing against Real is no sure thing at all...
Not trying to be overly pessimistic, but a draw would've tasted wayyyyy better...

As always a power play for the 2nd half, undeserved defeat we should have scored at least two goals against Oliver -Kahn- Baumann.
One good quarter for each team, Hoffenheim was the boss at the first half , Bayern completely dominated the second one.

Sanches in the 2nd quarter was much better, Ancelotti's sub was justified but he should sub off Coman which once again he was absolutely useless, running like a headless chicken, crossing to nowhere except Lewy's post. Many players under performed especially in the 1st half but in the second we clearly geared up and we deserved at least one goal = draw. Thiago's absence was visible from the first ten minutes, clearly. Muller behind Lewandowski it's threat even if he takes a nap there, he spaces up Lewy and assist him by his movement hugely, we saw that tonight, Lewandowski fighting for every inch and he did it very well if only he could finish one of his chances...

Hats off to our future coach, hats off to Hoffenheim!

We can not be ruthless with Renato, he got into a very difficult game, I think it more coherent to criticize Vidal that he did not help today. I come to the conclusion that Thiago has become the thermometer of the team and I have doubts about Coman, I do not really think he has a level for Bayern after the departure of Robben and Ribery, he makes wrong decisions the whole match, he lacks skill.

Every last gesture from Sanches was a mess.

Alonso best Bayern player ... just to rate how shit the game was :?

Without Boateng, Thiago, Müller, Lahm and Ribéry for 70 minutes it's hard. Not the same Bayern at all.

That's it. We need another player who can play as a 10/trequartista, be it Brandt, James Rodriguez, or someone else. Without Muller or Thiago, the 4-2-3-1 doesn't work at all, and we all know how terrible the 4-3-3 was. Two players are injured/rested and we're completely screwed.

Perfect : decisions... tactics... (which he changed early in thr second half)

He was great today, but remember that managing a team like Hoffenheim is not the same thing as managing a team like Bayern, and there's no guarantee he'd fulfill the expectations.

Definitely true but what he's achieved so far is remarkable. He's definitely worth a shot.
Super Bayern! Super Bayern! Hey! Hey!

Not to nitpick because I agree with the jist of your post, but he's actually 20 years old. Renato Sanches is the 19 year old.

This match really shows that we need ONE World Class winger or no.10 that can fill the void of Müller/Thiago and/or possibly an injured Robbery. One that can come in and have an immediate effect. But the team on the field tonight should have gotten the job done. At least to make it 1-1.

Sanches will not be good enough to start until next season. Probably same for Coman if he's not starting to move up a gear.

Frustrating match tonight. :-x

We were 15 games unbeaten, relax people, there was a heavy rotation there into away game against one of the best teams of the table, I think it's normal after such a run to lose against Hoffenheim, the only thing that bothered me was the many missed chances but I caught myself wondering is it better to produce many chances and miss them occasionally or produce 0 chances like in the first half of the season? I prefer the missed one. Credits to Baumann too, he was very solid and quick.

Even if we lose against BVB, which won't happen in Allianz I'm not worried at all for Real Madrid, we're back on track, Muller will be there, Thiago will be there and hopefully Neuer. These three players didn't play tonight and if you think that Muller's poor form isn't something you can't argue that Neuer & Thiago are very important for our game.

1-0 defeat against Hoffenheim and some like #12 going in panic mode, buddy if you watch Real Madrid games and how they're playing you'll be shocked how they manage to play so badly but still win, an ugly win doesn't suit you, a beautiful defeat neither well, you can't have always 6-0 wins or be 15 games unbeaten...
