Now bayern are aiming at second place... which i wouldn't have thought possible just one week ago. Though i think there is a good difference between 2nd and 3rd. So lets hope Neverkusen can slip up again and we don't :D

Are there any playoffs for third place for the champions league? On the official Bayern page Bayern are Champions League qualification while BVB and Neverkusen are Champions League. Can anyone explain the difference if any?

We will play a qualification/playoff match before getting put into the group stage. Whereas BvB and Leverkusen go straight to group stages.

I am not entirely sure about who we can face but basically...
4th EPL, 4th Spain, 4th Italy and 2nd in all the minor leagues can play us BUT it also depends on the seedings (i.e. which pot they belong to). For e.g. if Tottenham somehow secures 4th spot it would be unlikely to play them because they are seeded due to recent CL History. If City holds fourth spot we could play them cause they have never been in CL. :x

But yeah, MUTU can explain this process better, but thats how i think it is.

Totally agree with you. One of Ribbery's goals was a bounce from Gomez's shot; he was alone in front of the GK and threw it right in front to the guy. A bit lousy if you ask me. But overall feeling is at the end of the day he is the guy at the right time at the right place. 3 today is just another example... He has an extremely good set up team which now incorporates more heavily Robben. As the English commentator today said: "Robben and pass seldom go together." On the last two matches, this is appearing to be changing quite a bit.

Hahaha a friend of mine actually told me he believes that there was probably some match-fixing from Bayern's part, because 8-1 is too much, and we were struggling to qualify for the CL and suddenly we win 8-1 and Hannover start dropping points.

I laughed so much I didn't bother to argue back. We've been suffering because of bad refereeing for pretty much the whole season :x

yea right, St.Pauli want to lose last game from Stanislawski in Milentor.
And its mental problem with Hannover, they know that they can play CL and be infront of Bayer, they scared and lose

It was the only downer in the 8-1 victory at FC Bayern on Millerntor: Luiz Gustavo had injured just before the break from the square. It was only a precautionary measure. The Brazilian had suffered only a mild skin irritation and bone could be replaced. With a prolonged outage is not expected.

Great job from the lads yesterday... honestly, i didnt expect such a win... i was thinking of ` or 2 goals max margin but our players gladly proved me wrong :D

nontheless, we never seem to be able to keep a clean sheet right :D?

It would be a very good end of the season if leverkusen lost and we won :D but it won't matter for us since we are FC Bayern and by no means a 4th team from the ELP (be it Man City) or La Liga or Serie A will stop us from competing for the CL trophy next year on our grounds...

VIVA FC BAYERN!!!

FCB's Unofficial Matchday 32 MOTM Poll
Sponsored by Tflags. Tflags, when you need good postings, you know where to find us.

Welcome boys and girls to FCB's unofficial Man Of The Match Poll; where we vote for FCB's good and bad on the pitch. All your votes will be tabulated until next Friday if we have more than this one vote that is...

TOP Man on the Pitch: Robben. With some brilliant and unselfish passes, an spectacular header plus another goalRobben is without a doubt our MOTM candidate.
Bottom Man: (this actually sounds bad but you get the right idea). I was going to go for Butt after that goal against but he did have a brilliant save as well so, WTH, with 8-1 is very hard to find a bad player. For this time around we will leave it null.

In conclusion, Robben Up, None Down.

Robben is involved probably in 80% of our goals. His speed and his skills are just insane. And Butt is making lots of mistakes in the last few matches. I hope Neuer's deal is done because we can't play him as starter for the whole next season
