I think it's an indication that we should fire LVG and replace him with Jonker right after the lost against Hannover. We might still be in the fight for Cup and maybe CL...

Gomez's hat trick really makes it look like he played better than he did. Overall he had maybe 8-10 golden chances and he only made sure of 3 of them.

His first goal was pure poacher instinct, I will give him that. The second was a beautifully weighted pass from Robben, and again all credit to Robben for giving him that 3rd goal. He could have taken it for himself whilst blindfolded and hopping on one leg, but he gave it to Gomez. :D

Robbery had a good game, Muller did pretty well, even Klose looked good for the ~20 min he was in. Defensively we looked pretty confident, apart from whoever was marking Eger on the free kick. (can't get the video to load atm) I think Butt only had to make 1 real save. It was so hard to tell who had a good game, since St. Pauli pretty much didn't show up at all.

Yes, let's still complain about Gomez despite being the best scorer in the Bundesliga the second time now.

8-10?
what match have you watched?
The only chance he missed was when Ribery scored his first goal on the rebound of Gomez' missed chance.
And his 2nd goal wasn't 'all credit to Robben'... it was exactly the kind of goal a good striker can make.
His third goal however does require credit to Robben.

Great game by Bayern today as the early goals were a key to opening up the match. In the end Bayern's overall talent was just way too much for St. Pauli to match. When the offense is unselfish as it was today then lots of great chances are going to come bayern's way and today we converted most of them!

Bayern now have secured the CL qualification that we all wanted so badly and even have a chance for 2nd if Leverkusen can't win on the road.

Now one of our players has a chance to tie a record that most people thought was untouchable including myself and it will be very interesting to see if Gomez can do it against his old club at the Allianz Arena next weekend. Most of Gerd's records are so far out of reach that they seem unobtainable, but I guess you can never say never! So lets see if Gomez can tip his hat again a week from today.
