I wonder what happened to jupps plan of using Gustav as left back.

I wouldn't mind starting Gustavo at LB, plus it will mean Tymo gets a chance at starting. He deserves some playing time.

I really cannot wait until Alaba returns. He adds a whole new dimension to our play. Also, Boateng and Dante must up their game because Badstuber will be back as a CB.

We should use Shaqiri and Gustavo for this match, they have fresh legs.

Heynckes also asked Mueller how Luiz Gustavo (25) and goal-Garant Mario Mandzukic (26) on Tuesday for one call and explained the action.
The players accept it, because they were promised by Heynckes , starting Saturday against Schalke return to the starting lineup.

I expected that. Don't think Martinez will start again in this game.

I don't understand what the problem with playing Martinez is. He's played better than Gustavo in the three matches in which they both played, and if he lacks integration then benching him won't make it much better. There's so much integration you can get through training, but nothing beats actual matches. Manchester City have no problem fielding Javi Garcia, why do we have a problem with Javi Martinez?

Stuff like this is always difficult to judge from the outside. We simply don't have enough information. All we know is that whenever the kid is on the pitch he plays excellently so it's only natural that we want to see him play all the time. There's other stuff that factors into the decision whether to play him or not, but this stuff only Heynckes can see.

I'm not saying Heynckes is infallible, maybe it is a mistake not starting him (if that will be the case even, which is speculation right now), but whether or not it is is really hard to judge for us who see 90 minutes of FC Bayern every few days.

In these situations the best thing you can do is trust that the coaching staff know what they are doing, and so far since Bayern are unbeaten they must know something we dont.

We are all very happy with Martinez, but he went from 30 minutes in 2 games to 60-70 last Wednesday. Although I would welcome it if he starts, I think it's more likely that he starts this one on the bench again and plays 30-45 minutes.

It's an away derby, pretty sure we need Gustavo's balls to get through it. Martinez is amazing, but let's just ease him in, as in, DON'T PLAY HIM IN THE VELTINS IN HIS FIRST BULI START.

If we need balls to win this match, we may as well just stay at home and hand them the three points.

I think Martinez will be benched as this is too big a game to risk playing a person who is yet to know German.
So, I think Gustavo will be back into the lineup. I hope Shaqiri gets a chance as LB with badstuber and Boateng playing as CBs. Shaqiri+Ribery pairing would be amazing though the true test would be how Shaqiri would do defensively.
Anyways, since Ribery had some hamstring injury problems, I think he might be rested with Shaqiri starting as LW with Badstuber as LB.
Big question is who will play? Kroos or Mueller? The men in form battle it out.

So starting Martinez is too big a risk in this game, but playing Shaqiri at LB is not?

I think the only reason why Martinez will sit out tomorrow is because he is tired.
