someone said Thiago played poorly today? lol

He initiated almost every attack with a great opening ball. And I think 2 of the goals originated with passes from him as well.

Unusual scorers today. We can safely say we're finally in great form.

Really enjoyed watching the highlights just now after a stressful day. That is the Bayern we all know. The three games this week have been a joy to watch

This might be totally opposite spring to the last three when we talk about Bayern's form. Next 7 matches are going to be very interesting and definitely they will show us on what kind of level we are, what can we do and how far can we go in the CL.

I thought he had an excellent game. He bossed the midfield. If you look at the three goals, he switched plays from midfield to attack so fast they were caught with the ball behind their backs. All three goals were started from key-passes from him. Very good game all around. Vidal's stat is pretty fair as well. Very nice crosses from him today as well.

Yeah. As I've said previously, I'm a huge Thiago-as-regista advocate hahaha. But, within the range of Thiago performances, I thought that was an average Thiago performance.

If it helps, Spox saw exactly the same thing.

"The star of the game: Thiago. Dictated the game with great presence (149 balloons) and clear passport (89 per cent arrived). Fixed all three hits."

Really? I feel like it's just the same: us getting in form very slowly...

On the contrary, we were declining in form and performances under Guardiola every single spring. His season was in autumn and winter and that's it while in spring he forgot to shake the team and do it better than ever before.

Well, maybe if you make it different points in time... Cause I remember us getting kickstarted by a HSV game (6:0?) during his tenure as well... And his first season, there was no decline till April, right?!

Well, let's hope you're right and we really are getting into gear...

Signs say the team is getting better. This is not just because of the results but they showed more control and dominance than before. However keep in mind that they played a very bad Arsenal side, poor HSV , in crisis Schalke and generally a cautious Koln team. I think we should wait and see how they do against tougher opponents.

Agree. Those aren't the toughest opponents, but neither are they the worst. Köln fight for European qualification and were strong at home. Schalke had some decent results before we faced them. Arsenal are still a Champions League side and facing Bayern contributed to their crisis. Not to mention recent results against RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid were positives for us.

Carlo has managed the marathon well. We haven't really hit some of the heights that we did in the past few seasons, but the sprints the team was capable of under Pep weren't sustained enough into the final phases of the European campaigns. Whether by luck or by conscious effort, Ancelotti has kept the key parts of the team fit and focused. That's a positive going forward.

I often tend to blame weak opposition as well... And they were not outstanding... But no one has won in Cologne for almost one year... It IS an achievement...
Away games are usually the best indicator... Cause we can trash anyone at home... Let's see how we do in London...
