I'd try to put on our best defensive formation. Lahm should play because he'll get a break due to being retired from the NT anyway. Alaba I'd like to sacrifice one more match to help Benatia integrate better with defenders who are likely to play against Benfica. Against Juventus, he showed lack of chemistry with the rest of his colleagues, and you only get that by playing with them.

He did before ramsej even posted the lineup: Bernat and Rafinha together and I agree, that defence is too risky. One of Alaba or Lahm has to play because we're not at too safe a distance just yet. It would be nice if we seal the win early and perhaps Martinez can get a few minutes.

I think Vidal should start.

Chile have World Cup qualifiers against Argentina (24th March) and Venezuela (29th March). He'll come back super tired if we play him for the full 90 minutes tomorrow. I think he deserves the break.

He rested vs Bremen already though. We can't risk sending out a weak midfield and defence just yet, imo, even though the forwards are very strong.

Give Vidal a break, he needs some booze to charge his batteries...

Yeah, Rafinha and Bernat together is just too much.
I'd play like this:

------- Lewy -----------------
Coman ------- Götze --- Müller
--------- Thiago - Alonso --------
Bernat - Benatia - Kimmich - Lahm
--------------- Neuer -------------------

Makes no sense to rest Lahm with the upcoming break. Benatia only played 45 minutes so he should be fit. Alaba could really need a rest.
Vidal played 120 minutes against Juve and had cramps. Costa had pain too, Ribéry played 190 minutes inside 4 days. Robben is injured anyways.

What's the absolute worst that can happen, we have our league advantage reduced? I'd rather not risk an injury to our warrior, or tire him out. We have Rode who can play a similar role to him, and/or Alonso who didn't play 120 mins against Juve.

If we go down to a 2 or 3 point lead, we'd have to play our best players in every match until Dortmund drop points again/the season ends. Potentially we could still be fighting for the title a week before a potential Pokal finale or 2 weeks before a potential CL final. Definitely not a scenario I'd like to see.

I'd much rather not give 1-2 usual starters a rest now than do so, drop points, and be unable to rest them for the rest of the season. I want rotation, but it doesn't have to mean dropping all our best players.

I agree, but there are players who we inevitably have to rest now. Those are Ribery, Costa and Vidal imo.
Also I fear another Alaba injury if he's not rested soon. He's basically playing all the time.

Ribéry will get his rest in the international break.

I rather not have him start after 190 minutes in 4 days.....At the end it's still Ribéry. :?

Well there aren't too many options. Robben is out, Costa is tired too, maybe Goetze as LW and Coman as RW?

Or Müller as RW, Götze behind Lewy and Coman as LW.
Everything is better than overusing Ribery.

But aren't Mueller and Lewandowski overused too? An injury to either of them would hurt us more than one to Ribéry.

Are you really comparing Müller and Lewandowski with Ribéry? Would you rather play the wreck Franck or Müller & Lewandowski? 2 guys who together missed like 11 matches in their professional career? They're going on like this for years and were barely injured. Doesn't matter when you rest them really, but Ribéry definatly needs a break.
Also Lewandowski was just rested against Bremen for 70 minutes. Müller has also sat down some matches and got subbed out early quite often.
Just because Ribéry has a injury free spell for like 1 1/2 months doesn't mean he can suddenly play that many minutes again.
I want to be extra careful with him. Our system stands and falls with creative wingers and if one gets injured we might aswell only have Coman left like at the end of the Hinrunde.
