Mitchell Weiser set to make his starting debut for FC Bayern. It is his 2nd Bundesliga match, having played one for FC Köln. He has already played for FC Bayern in the Champions League, coming on in the 87th minute against Viktoria Plzen.

Ylli Sallahi, on the other hand, will make his professional debut.

Hmm, Lahm not even on the bench.
I think our defence is quite shaky today, but let's see..

It is a much weirder lineup than I anticipated. Really looking forward to seeing it in action. Who knows, it may be the start to finding a young talented superstar who features in the important games this season too. ;)

Both central defenders are quite slow, and Sallahi and Weiser are inexperienced. Can see Augsburg scoring at least one today.

Well, we've only kept one clean sheet in the last 8 matches, so that wouldn't be anything extraordinary.

I'd much rather qualify for the semi-finals and suffer a loss in an already-won league.

I still don't think we'll lose. I think a draw is most likely but I'm sticking to my 2-1 win prediction.

Or a genius.

These three kids will be highly motivated and will motivate the rest of the squad, who would otherwise only be thinking about Manchester United. The other fringe players like van Buyten, Shaqiri and Pizarro would also be determined to prove their worth.

We'll quite possibly see a more determined play than we've seen in the Bundesliga from Bayern for a while.

Weiser is one of the most ambidextrous players to be used on that spot lately; if not the most. Guardiola makes use of full backs both as inside forwards as well as on the overlaps. I am not really looking forward his defensive abilities as the only time I saw him play there he really didn't quite impress. His offensive runs might just be something worth paying close attention today.
