maybe try to shoot from outside... play the ball possession further up in order to make them come a bit out ... try long balls over their wing backs... anyway it was a game that if we kept playing till tomorrow afternoon we would still fail to score a goal.

We were complaining last year about lack of game changers, we added this year 1 or 2 more options... so figure it out. Shit happens, sometimes there's nothing you can do... it was a meaningless game that they can learn from. At least we didn't lose, dropped 2 points... we don't want to win BuLi by December. :P
Wenger will probably try to replicate this game... that's the only problem.

Perhaps taking the opportunity to play a faster forward game the (very) few times that Frankfurt didn't have 6 people parked in the box instead of retaining the ball, waiting for all the Frankfurt players to setup in their box and start passing the ball laterally back and forth to look for the "killer" pass?

The atmosphere on the stadium was... ugh. That continuous whistling was annoying as hell. :x

Maybe it was tiredness, maybe it was attitude, maybe it was just an unlucky day. Or maybe it was Hradecky :P :) :|. We were going to drop points at some point anyway so it's not that earth-shattering. I think it was a good wake-up call before the next BuLi match; even the weaker opponents can get a result against us.

Well, at least we now have four days before Arsenal. Weiter, immer weiter!

Why the hell we never opt to shoot from outside the are?
Lahm for example always had this weakness - he is afraid to shoot...
Lewa = somebody jinxed him...

Nobody jinxed Lewy. He just returned to his normal self, unfortunately.

Shhht, that's not innovative, it's anti-football [-X

Anyway, we all knew at point we'd have to drop points at one point. Fine if me, IF we get our brain back for the Arsenal match. It's on Wednesday right? So there are five days to prepare, no excuses

No team has even won all their league matches. Cheer up and be happy none of our players got injured today. As the coach says, it's always about the next match.

Too right. It sounded like we were playing an Italian or Turkish team at times. The whole whistling whenever the opposition have the ball thing really annoys me and I hope it doesn't start creeping into the German game.

Frankfurt's bus played well today.

Hradecky ~ that save on Vidal's header  He was like trying to send away a fly... but he did his job 100% perfect

I was shocked to see the that Bayern had more fouls at half time than Frankfurt, ref let so many times go when Frankfurt was holding jerseys or throwing arms into faces. Would have liked to see Bayern get that record, but oh well, treble still on the table, and maybe even an undefeated league season.

Still sad about that missed record... :( :( :(

But reading through this thread here makes me think there's a bunch of kindergardeners being sore "losers" here... :P :D Defending is perfectly legal, and a good team will always find a way! We didn't today...

nm462272 wrote:I'm curious... forgive my ignorance, but what could have Bayern done to break down this defense?

Well, first of all, a faster shifting on offense (we call that "Spielverlagerung"), more orecise play, and especially more movement... If they play a 6-man-line and we have 6 players on offense practically marking them man to man, watching the ball carier expecting him to do magic does shit for us... ;) There has to be constant movement to cause trouble, disturbance and confusion... We were nowhere NEAR what we played in the first 20 in Wolfsburg - for the entire match (btw: the result is ALWAYS shit when we only travel on gamedays - cut that shit out already, please!!)... We were slow, unwilling to go the extra mile because it was "only Frankfurt" - and when this happens in soccer you drop points... This goes for every level, from junior league and bloody amateur-level up to the pros...
And finally, what the **** was Lewa doing? That was the one shot... Everybody riiculing people that claim that he's not an outstanding finisher - what do you say now? ;) He's not a leftie, we know that... But his left foot is not bad, not bad at all... So for ****'s sake, why doesn't he use it?! ANd even if he doesn't - missing that one by a car length is just ridiculous...

He was wasteful his last season at BVB and his first year here... but he's our 2nd or 1st most valuable player in the transfer market for some reason.

Yeah, it's not like the first time a team defends against us... it was a big surprise.
