Bigger than the transition to 4-1-4-1 or whatever tactical changes Guardiola is implementing, lacking attitude and work ethic was always the biggest risk after the treble winning season. It's normal human behavior. We gave 110% all over the 12/13 season because we wanted to eliminate the shame of losing out on all three titles the year before that. Now we won the treble and players have to be reminded of the basics again.

Hit the nail on the head. Our motivation last season was a freak occurence due to some incredible circumstances. Quite little to do with Jupp too, unless it was always his plan to do the Neverkusen the first season.

Why can't Spain NT just use Busquets since that's what they always do anyways even if he's out of form. Not to mention Barcelona's game is later this weekend. Second time we have problems with NTs, first Brazil and now Spain.

Is this Spain trolling :pep: ? :-#

Robben played with a hole in his thigh at the 2010 world cup, was out for half a year afterwards. Bayern wanted compensation, all we got was a friendly after the 2012 CL final. Which ended up being the stupidest idea of all time.

Basically we got screwed every way.

Robben ended up being booed in said friendly by the Bayern fans because of the penalty miss against Chelsea. :(

EDIT: Can anyone find the huge "Element" in that article?

Wow that's f*cked up.

Good thing Del Bosque prefers choosing his players who play in Spain and belongs to Barca or RM even if there are better alternatives.

Why was Dante "booed" during the match vs Frankfurt?
Surely I'm not the only one, that heard whisteling while Dante got the ball?

Dante made made unintentional handball last season but he denied after being asked asked by the ref whether or not he touched the ball. Which was only normal since we were fighting for the championship on that day.

However the Frankfurt faithful were still angry at him.

Robben's found the excuse.

"The games when players come back from international duty are always difficult," the 29-year-old told AZ.

"One's travelling from South America, one from Asia, but they can only train on Thursday, then just a bit on Friday.

"The players had a little break, but the ones you notice are the ones who aren't at 100 per cent. But you have to go on, and wanting to win a game is a mental thing.

"At the start, the most important thing is to win games. A 1-0 is always tight. We had enough opportunities to make it 2-0. If you don't, then it stays tight until the end." [source]

Funny how he doesn't consider Thiago part of the team yet.
