I can't see the game at the moment. What position is Martinez playing?

A lot of guys have been calling for Gotze's head, but for me, Ribery has been the player most out of form. I hope he gets it back soon because we need him.

Once again a meaningless bundesliga game and this time it's against a team fighting relegation. Of course they will be much more motivated than us. They should tire late in the game and hopefully we take advantage of it.

I'm not looking too much into this game for Madrid, but I do hope we win it for the psychological factor.

It may looked like Braunschweig didn't deserve to lose and good thing linesmen didn't have HD since according to MUTU, all our goals are offside. But we did our bit, even if it's just a really small one.

Götze actually had a good game IMO. Ribery was just awful today

Our possession is regularly below 70% now. It reflects our slight change in style.

Gotze is improving slowly, I agree. But he is still not in-form enough to start the big games.

Agreed. I was surprised. He outplayed Robbery entirely, imo, though I found he got better around 55-60 minutes in than in the first half.

I see people criticise Ribéry here, but to be honest he was one of the harder working players on the pitch today, despite that he fumbled the ball quite a few times he still put in the effort. Robben...well Robben for me is sometimes I love him and seems he turns over a new leaf, others times he goes back to playing the Schauspieler and makes me want to smack some sense into him. Today was one of those days. Around 64 minutes (approximately) was prime example. Runs right at Braunschweig players, despite obvious to all eyes he should pass as he had options, instead runs straight into them and give us a nice dramatic performance.

Hojbjerg was probably one of my favourite players this match, though. He played very well, and I certainly hope we continue to give him more time for the remainder of the season. He really deserves it.

Dante I think deserved a big mention today. Most convincing attacks from Braunschweig all I saw was his hair streaking through the screen  Good performance from him.

Martinez...everyone played as CB except him today. Don't know how many times I saw even Schweini covering for him. Just ridiculous at this point. Schweinsteiger today was certainly much better defensively than offensively. Usually he's more balanced.

Edit: Should say though Müller and Mandzukic made all the difference today...and Guardiola should take note. But still the way we played most of the match...I don't know what to expect Wednesday.

LOL!

Actually I only commented on the first goal. Not sure about the second, which Raeder assisted.

Positives:

- No injuries
- First clean sheet in 8 matches
- Goetze getting slowly in form
- Martinez starting to adapt well to the CB role

Negatives:

- Ribery's form keeps getting worse
- First half was embarrassing
- Schweinsteiger wasn't rested

 Did we watch the same match?? Martinez was barely present. Another of those games I wish I had sat with paper and pen to write down every minute when I saw another player covering for him because he failed to perform to standard. Schweinsteiger especially had to fall back quite often for him, and Dante frequently had to cover more than his share. Even saw Boateng drifting in further centre to cover as Dante moved farther right.

I don't care about this average performances in BL now that we won the title. But I'm not sure if the team can switch to first gear after so many calm performances
