At first when this match was at schedule I had thought to put 7:0 against Bremen, but then I decided for small result. During this match I was repeating myself, how could I be so wrong...

But I'm glad when they're doing this to me, simultaneously they beat me and the match. :P

This win is more sweeter when I recall how many players are out of the competition. 8)

Götze still needs to improve some things. For example he was way too easily dispossessed a lot of times lik in the first play of the match. He is clearly trying on the field and he lost some weight. That's great, but still far from what we can expect from him.

He used to be a player like Iniesta a few years ago.

It was an enjoyable game, but not too many conclussions can be taken from a home game against this Bremen side.

The best way I can describe the choices made by players and coach on Saturday? Hot wings.

Yes, Götze was the German Iniesta. He was a magician with the ball and could handle it really well without being dispossessed and that's something that he currently lacks. He also needs to be more consistent. Today he created a beautiful goal and he did some other great plays here and there but he wasn't consistent.

I'm happy because I see an improvement from last year's Götze, but he needs to keep on improving to reach his old form.

I like how you break it down tactically, then list that 4 of the 6 goals weren't tactical.

Also, in your analysis, I think you miss that the Muller run was intentional to see if the wall would jump, while Alonso was watching if they did. If they didn't jump I'm figuring that there's either a cross or an attempt over the wall. Great organized play.

Further I don't think you give Lahm enough credit on the 2nd goal. The first goal did take a deflection, but the 2nd was well worked, and I believe fully intentional.

Gotze seems to have more goals than iniesta though know there are similarities but gotze can and should get 15-20 goals a season which iniesta definitely cant

Btw, this is
the first time a team hasn't gotten a shot in a Bundesliga game since at least 1993 when data started being collected. [source]

Alonso: "The construction of the play is very different [here]. At Real Madrid is everything is quicker, more direct… [Bayern] are more like Jazz, [whereas Real Madrid are like] Rock n Roll."

Götze is Götze and no Iniesta or Modric. I hate it when people compare Götze to players like that.
Götze has always been more of a scorer than a playmaker which Iniesta is. Just because he was/is very good on the ball doesn't mean he's "the german Iniesta".

If anything he could be the german Messi. His finishing is very good and he does far better in the front line (LW,CF) than in the central midfield where Iniesta is doing his magic.
