From Bayern Twitter:
@FCBayern
Der Muskel zwickt noch immer. Arjen #Robben fällt gegen Hoffenheim aus. Einsatz von #Ribery (Verhärtung) noch unsicher. ^M.Hörwick #FCBHOF

Sooooo... Robben out. Ribery doubtful.

I expect Ribery to play. If he can't make it, then we'd see an attacking midfield of Shaqiri, Kroos and Mueller. What a difference from previous seasons!

I rate this match as very delicate. Hoffenheim always give a good performance vs FCB, and every team is looking to become the 1st team to make us drop points. The refs will also make it more difficult for us in order not to let us go away alone uninterrupted in the standings (as always)
I'd love to see a change from the usual 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3 but with JH such changes are unthinkable.

In 8 games we won 5 times and drew 3 vs Hoppenheim. The last time we met, we routed them 7:1. You and I have very different standards when it comes to evaluating what is and what isn't a good performance.

Also your statement about the referees is a rather bold one. Can you back that up with facts?

I will answer this for you.

These are stats taken from wahretabelle.de which analyse each match and look at the big wrong decisions taken by referees that had an effect on the match. Of course these do not include other situations such as an undeserved red card. Having said that, if referees were fair you'd expect the amount of 'greens' to be equal to the amount of 'reds' below. However, it's quite unbalanced as you can see. Hence why there is a perception amongst some Bayern fans that they are being cheated by referees. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing here, I'm just pointing out statistics. You make your own mind.

I have also bolded out the more suspicious years (i.e. when an underserved points led to an underserved position in the standings).

I'll be interesting to see how Usami fairs against Lahm.

I expect Bayern to give Hoffenheim a real beating tomorrow. They have a tendency to play well after a bad on-the-road result. Hoping Martinez play, he needs to be integrated in to bayern style of play.

Welcome to the forum, bavarianorge :wave:

Yes, here's to hoping that they spring back. After all, they did that often enough last season.

Please no Badstuber at all. The guy is clearly fatigued, and he's our first-choice CB for the tough games, so give the lad a time-out to recharge his batteries, especially since he'll be leaving for international duty for the next 2 weeks.
