Some Bayernfans held up a banner before the game against Hoffenheim, because the players didn't greet the fans after the game in Belarus. It's in the papers this morning too http://www.tz-online.de/sport/fussball/ ... 36547.html!

Wanted to find a picture of it, so I did some research.
Came across this... There's a picture of the banners and what seems to be a press release too. In English! https://www.facebook.com/fcbww...

Yes, yes, yes and... yes to that last one as well but, for 40 million, the guy just made Gustavo look like he actually paid us to come here... (with no salary.)

So in all due fairness, none talks about him before Xmast following this suggestion:

Y'know, people can probably hear (or read) you fine without the yelling. Did you miss your pills this morning or something? Chill out.

The yelling was absolutely necessary.

Mmm. Ok, I'll rephrase. I think Martinez's transfer cost was way overpriced. So far, he has played bellow par or, at least, not at level that would justify that investment. It is, however, way too soon to judge him given the few matches he has started. In all fairness, I think he should be given some months to prove his worth and that is to bring an excellent alternative to our current midfielders.

After that, all fingers should point to the people that were warned that Martinez was not worth the price that the team paid for him and that money should have been better spent someplace else. Sounds harsh but it is what it is.

And no, I don't think yelling is justifiable, or getting into another's discussion for that matter. Thanks for that.

Alright, before you totally hate me:

I guess I simply didn't expect anyone not knowing this. Whenever someone says something about the Spanish inquisition, I will yell:

But signing him made Gustavo Much much better

Both Schweinsteiger and gustavo are still ahead of Martinez

I think that Martinez needs time

I couldn't agree more. Martinez just isn't quite there yet. Hopefully he will come to prove his worth and become a beast.

I watched the game on this forum, really boring game. Match ended exactly as I predicted, 2:0 for us. Finally I awaited to see Ribery scoring 2 nice goals. The match against BATE has affected on this Saturday, but it's important that we increased advantage over Schrothmund and now it's 9 points.

Some people is expecting him to dribble 3 defenders and score a beautiful curved shot. We payed 40M for a CM, not a CAM or a winger. Against Hoffenheim we dominated the whooooooole game and I don't think he played a bad game. He was average but that's not the kind of game where he can put a legendary performance.

We will see that from him in big games.

Come on...
Everyone knows it's just too soon to judge him, he lacks in terms of fitness... our philosophy is new to him... he plays in a new league... haven't had a rest in summer... haven't played with the team... there are language barriers... there are a hundred reasons that we should not assess him just right now... and yet many are discussing he IS like this and he IS like that... It's OK to discuss his performance on the day, but judging him based on his performances so far is out of question!

Come on guys.... Leave him be... We, all Bayern fans, should let him establish himself and settle in... I think whatever positive we see in his game is valid, but the negatives might just be the result of all above issues.... we don't want to put him under immense pressure just because we paid 40M for him...

<EDIT>
p.s. I say all these and I've been against paying 40M for him, even though I had not seen him before here... because like I said, he was unproven in CL or otherwise internationally.... And if we could go back in time, I would say all that again... But now, the 40M is gone out of our pocket, and Javi is our player... There is no point comparing him with that 40M!... IMHO he has shown some very interesting qualities in his game so far... we have to give him time and space... and let him be what he is able to be... Hopefully the result will be just as great as many expected...

and forget the damn 40M... it's gone... not ours to think upon anymore! :)
