It is very common here in the Maltese league... Here you get banned after four yellow cards...

They don't need their best players to park the bus and break legs, duh?

More importantly they don't need to risk suspensions for their best players to lose.

That was the first thing that came to mind when they said that it was on purpose... and they don't need their best for what they're planning, they'll try to defend and just kick the ball away from their half...

Makes sense though, they might concede 7 anyhow. Bastos is right, it preserves their players for a run to avoid relegation.

I hate to be the party pooper here but let's look at it this way: They have 5 suspended players due to yellow cards, which means they get too many yellow cards and that's how they play, which means they'll tackle us more, which increases the already high injury rate, which keeps everything normal since it's normal to have an injury every week.

Did I talk too much? :coffee:

Or rather you can say that their most aggressive players will all be suspended. Would you rather that they played?

You don't know how aggressive their alternatives can be... Maybe they're that aggressive that they don't ever play them except for these kind of special occasions. They'll field some dogs. :P

It's just that we're in a situation that we shouldn't ask for +5 goals regardless of who we're facing. These days in the Bundesliga all I wish for is an acceptable form, 3 points and most importantly no injuries.
I do hope Darmstadt play it clean.

I'm actually asking for more than "acceptable" form at home against Darmstadt without 5 of their starters.

Actually, I'd agree... But say we win at Juve - regardless of the score - I could live with an ugly draw against Darmstadt :P

Uhm yeah. But if we can't even beat Darmstadt at home, chances that our form is good enough to beat Juve are pretty low.
