[2011-05-14] Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart

Postby tflags » Mon May 09, 2011 9:06 pm

There was not a post yet regarding the last game of the season so I created one to let you know the good news. Cacau is ruled out of the clash. Not that we should have a problem with a home game but it helps to see if we can FINALLY end the season up with a clean sheet.

Now if only Cissé gets confirmed...

Neverkusen is not THAT Neverkusen. 3rd place.

Don't want to jinx it.

Lindi, why not? If Cissé finishes as top scorer, we will end up in 2nd place instead of 3rd. Given the choice of Gomez top scorer and us 3rd or Cissé + us second; you would agree the later is mucho more important... R U Not?

How come ??
If Leverkusen losses , and we win .. then we will get 2nd Place.
It doesnt matter who the top-scorer is bro!

Actually it kind of does. If Cissé outscores Gomez, it means most definitively Freiburg won that match since he is their top striker. In a game like Freiburg vs Neverkuzen, we are rooting for Freiburg (and Cissé...) Cheers.

In this match we'll wear the new jersey for the first time . I'm anxious for that too.
I think it will be a comfortable win, we should be focused on what Freiburg can do.

I too expect it will be a comfortable game. But I really hope the squad doesn't think that way. Stuttgart may be clear of relegation but I'm sure they'll want some form of payback for getting steamrolled twice already this season.

Hey, Gomez can nick a hattrick and be so far ahead of Cisse that we could get both best scorer AND 2nd place. I'm sure Gomez wants to score a lot against his old mates. :P

It's always a bit sad to watch the last game of the season, because that means that we'll have to wait almost 2.5 months before the next official game.

Especially this year, without a CL final or DFB Cup, and without a WC or Euro during those 2.5 months, I am feeling already that I'm missing watching us play :)

Nevertheless, I hope we'll finish this disappointing year showing some class and crashing Stuttgart and -hopefully- finish 2nd.

I agree AvatarX... But a few weeks before everyone was looking forward to the end of this season, because we played a lot of bad games. Now everything is looking a bit better; we played some nice matches under Jonker and more importantly secured CL football.
A new coach, some new players and we can start a successfull season 2011-2012 :D

I feel you AvatarX... it's a long time before we'll watch some official games. But at least we should have some interesting transfer activity going on that should help ease the withdrawal symptoms :) And we have quite some friendlies lined up as well...
Mario Gomez season stats: 1048 minutes played, 16 goals scored. 1 goal every 65.5 minutes played. #Respect
